He was good tonight

Tyler White pisses me off.

Rodon has given up 3.. Not bad at all. Offense needs to pick him up

Encouraging start from Carlos. Gave up 3 but should've been 2. Would've went 7 had his defense not let him down.

Rodon had a nice outing tonight. Doesn't look as good with the 3 runs but only 2 earned, struck out 7 & went 6 full innings w/ no non-intentiontial walks.

He did just a horrible job of framing low sliders tonight.

Great game for Rodon, just two solo shots on bad pitches.....let's see what our bullpen can do now.

In a vacuum, I'll take our pen over theirs. Win this game!

The more I watch Rodon, the more you can see how young he is, how you can actually see him learning on the job. I'm not trying to sugar coat anything, the Sox REALLY need him if this season is going to be special, but we are watching someone from a progression standpoint that probably should be in AAA, but the talent has won out. Mixed results should be expected right now.

 

Great perspective here. We could be looking at the "best prospect in baseball" if he were destroying AA or AAA, which would be around where he should be right now.

Yep just needs to be able to get his fastball over early in the count. No one came close to his slider tonight. When you have such a great pitch, it sucks to get your fastball teed off on all season

Why didn't they just work around White with a 3-0 count and the bottom of the order coming up...?

 

Eaton came to play tonight.

Good defense there, it's become a shocker when there's a misplay (like the ball in NYC that got over his head off the bat of Aaron Hicks).

We were spoiled by Sale, honestly. We're asking a lot of Rodon early on.

You sacrifice offense and power when you play Avila.
