Albers is the biggest mental midget on the team

Does Ventura count?

Why was Nate Jones not in there?

Ramirez and any major league hitter's going to time 10 center-cut pitches over the heart of the plate.

Ridiculous.

Albers just doesn't have the ability to put away hitters right now.

Now he freaking brings in Nate Jones.

And you have to try to throw a breaking pitch if you're Albers. You can't just throw fastball after fastball unless you're Aroldis Chapman.

Albers rode some miraculous luck. He sucks, needs to be gone from this team ASAP.

No sink and horrific offspeed pitches

You gotta give Ramirez some credit in that AB. He fouled off some great 2 seamers at 95.

Great job RV! Now, you're stupid ass plan to "save" the pen has resulted in burning through Albers and your closer, assuming you even hold the lead!

FIRE THIS f***ING MORON.

His replacement is sitting on the bench. Would be nice to just go ahead and cut Robin loose

Robin's just the worst. He doesn't have the same excuse he had in Texas, which is the bullpen was tired. He simply didn't use his best guy in another high leverage situation. It's f***ing lazy and hoping for the best.

Yep no way anyone can defend that

I am confused here... The bullpen fails and somehow that's Ventura's fault? Get a grip people

So not only can I not watch the game because CSN f***ing sucks, but the Sox are blowing it too.

Fantastic. f***ing fantastic.

Easy to do that when you don't have to worry about a slider

The bullpen failed because he wanted Duke to get 6 outs. Getting 3 out of him is already more than enough. He's not a long reliever. Robin was hoping to use him for 2 innings to save for relievers in the second game. Win this damn game first. There's no reason you should be looking ahead that far right now.

Instead of using his best guy after Duke faltered (Jones), now we have to use Jones in a 1 run game instead of a 3 or 4 run game. And unless we get runs in the bottom half, Robertson now has to pitch the 9th. By trying to save the bullpen, Robin made the situation so much worse.

He thought the Sox had the game won w 6 outs left. Second time he's made that mistake this year and he's getting burned again.

There was just no reason to have to blow through both Nate Jones and David Robertson in this game.

I have no idea how Jones throws so hard with that windup.

Robin is an idiot and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see it. I'm refraining from going nuts over him however

small crowd or not, the boos should have been deafening when Albers left the field.....

You never boo your own team, no matter what. That's some classless Cubs fans s***

For me it started with pulling Latos with 3 run lead in the 7th at 80ish pitches.

+ a million. YOU DON'T MANAGE ON HOPE.

Give us some breathing room Fraz

Jesus Robin. Just resign already. They won't fire you. He's basically George Costanza right now

Are you watching the game and see what he has done tonight?

Duke pitching to Santana and Kipnis at least made a little sense. Using Albers over Jones was simply awful.

Thank god that's over.

Went from a complete blow out if we would have executed to having to put David Robertson in for a four-out save situation and wipe him out the second game.

Duke for one full inning was enough then brought him out for two? Lol then Albers over jones?

Goes back much further than 1 player failing. Why not pinch hit for Sanchez? Why leave Duke in so long when he has struggled? Why bring in Albers (who has struggled) when Jones has been lights out?
