It was a no brainer to let Sale try to go 7. With the Sox bullpen???

But you don't keep him in after he looks gassed and allows a leadoff single

Good thing we have our 5th hitter u.....oh wait

For those looking at reasons to fire Ventura...there's another one.

DP.

All the momentum shifting back to KC again.

I can't see Robin or the 3rd base coaching allowing this. I bet that was on Abreu. Could be the play of the game.

RV turned him around!!!! or did he just ruin him earlier?

KW ruined him and Hahn resurrected him

What are the odds that 8th theoretical run doesn't become a factor?

Remember Austin Jackson recording an out at 3rd base the last time we played them?

Was just gonna print that. Bye bye ballgame. We have our turning point.

No chance Abreu scores on that base hit

No way he's safe if he slides, he got tagged very early

If Abreu slides hid is safe easy

the ball beat him

Todd batting .210 before that hit...I think he will start to hit better once the allstar break hits

Shuck of course hits a weak piddler to end the inning....our powerful #5.

It'd still be one out and runners at the corners.

Is that four ground balls for him tonight? Makes perfect sense batting him after our four good hitters.

That's it. My fault for not seeing it.

The Royals have lost 7 in a row and are "fighting" to scratch this win out. Hilarious. Can u imagine if the Sox had a 7 game losing streak and were going against Scherzer? Uh 10-1 loss. Royals batter double digit hits off Sale and are primed to steal another one late.

Thanks Abreu for that bonehead play!

Trolls gonna troll.

If he slides the ball hits him and the 3B has no chance to catch it.

I'm leaving til after the game. Will make some postgame comments after the sad L.

I can only hope we somehow win.

We really need another late inning reliever badly. What little we have is going to break down by August because we rely on them so heavily. Poor bullpen depth + a bad offense is a bad mixture.

Reminds me of the time when Timo Perez was a DH for a game or two.

Nice play ToddFather. 1 down

Shuck would have a DP then.
