Maybe even consider Anderson 2nd if he hits well, and shift anyone else down. I think Saladino back at 3B like in 2015 could work out, and that way you let Abreu DH. You also give Frazier a break from 3B, as he is also a decent 1B

If he slides the ball hits him and the 3B has no chance to catch it.

Reminds me of the time Mark Kotsay was our DH for a season instead of Jim Thome.

If KC is smart they will be patient this inning. We can only hope they aren't and hopefully this is a nice quick 1-2-3 inning

We really need another late inning reliever badly. What little we have is going to break down by August because we rely on them so heavily. Poor bullpen depth + a bad offense is a bad mixture.

Or have your #1 starter go 7 innings. More starters to reach that numbers as well.

Others were saying to fire RV if he even considered that.

Abreu was out, slide or not. It's too shallow of a play to tag when the throw is that off and you're easily out

He hides the ball pretty well with his delivery. It's what makes him hard to hit.

 

We need to score off Soria here...he's very hittable.

Regardless, Morneau is going to be the DH come late July anyways. if Anderson does hit at least around the .270 mark, I think he will be the number 2 hitter. I think the lineup will look something like this vs RHP
