Bitter much?

I believe you are, based on all of your negativity.

QUOTE (harkness @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 08:25 PM)
Because the game is on WPWR....

There's a LOGICAL answer.

Although I would imagine every professional sports team's message boards are more active in losses (especially controversial ones, see Boston threads with Farrell getting 100X more heat than Ventura ever will)...UNLESS they're Opening Day, playoff-clinching or post season determining games, BlackOut, post season/World Series, etc.

QUOTE (harkness @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 09:23 PM)
Wow the ignorance some of you are showing...

You have never noticed that when the white sox games are not on CSN that the threads are much smaller?

It's really that simple.

A lot of us do not live in Illinois, or the Chicago area.

must be trolling.. its the only answer I have.

There is absolutely a difference between posting patterns when the team is losing, losing big, and winning. Threads are always WAY longer when the team is losing, and biggest of all when losing big.

If you don't believe me, then yes, ignorance is the answer.

Should have challenged.

Lead by example - stop whining and moaning about all of this and talk up this rather nice 5-0 lead we have going on here.

The scary thing is that I think you actually believe somehow obsessing over and over again about how bad the franchise is isn't negative.

The question was why is the thread shorter... the answer is simple and I'm 100% sure - the game is not on CSN.

Do people post more when the team is losing.. maybe. But the game threads are ALWAYS ALWAYS shorter non CSN nights... I'm betting the amount of people actually watching the game drops by 65-70%

I will if I don't have to read you replying repeated about how bad things are for the White Sox in every reply you make.

Hats off to Gonzalez. Very strong start

Yea that reason is 100 percent wrong

You should go look up the threads.

The part you are missing here is that Channel 50 is actually a free channel available over the airwaves. CSN is not. More people get 50, than do CSN.

Very false statement, and shame on you for making it.

I can't even watch the game. Nor have I posted hardly at all in 5 years... but this Thad guy is the biggest hypocrite I've ever seen on this board. That is saying something...

7 innings of shutout ball for Gonzalez. That is very nice medicine for the pen.

He's currently the Sox' third best starter.

Go back and look at all the threads is all I can say... It's probably not worth your time - but you would see it.

The 20 longest game threads this year....the Sox are 11-9.

Don't feel like doing more research than that.

I have been part of this site for over 10 years now, and I can tell you for a fact that the off channel has nothing to do with the size of the thread

But since you are so sure of it, feel free to look at the archives and cross reference the schedule to prove me wrong

What's scary is you constantly pointing out what you consider to be other's negativity yet not acknowledging the volume of your own around here.

You don't want to start a thread about threads? :P

TRADE WINDS STILL NOT OPEN: According to private SoxTalk survey, inability to discuss possible trades in one convenient place has discombobulated many posters and sent them off to other sites. Strategic boycotts of game threads was their first non-violent method of drawing attention.

541 posts in the game against Boston. WGN games would be the same. You are wrong. James Sheilds on a weekday WGN game got over 400.

You're the one being bitter, Gresham.

Let's nail this one down and get another series win.
