Was this confirmed? Saw it was a rumor a few minutes ago.

Just saw some video of it, holy macro. I don't know the first thing about guns but that is absolutely the loudest gun I've ever heard. Have to wonder if it's sniper fire, but again, wouldn't know. Don't know what type of gun would be that loud.

Nothing at CNN.com yet about the Dallas situation.

Might have been exaggerated about the two officers being shot...time will tell.

That gun...

B>W is right. That's a sniper rifle.

Looks true.

Great way to escalate.

Well an eyewitness on TV not exaggerating. Says he saw officer down and bullets hitting police cars.

Rumors are that it is a sniper

Well this is a highly inappropriate response. Shooting at random cops will not solve anything.

One suspect supposedly down, another cornered and about to get stormed per Twitter.

I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner. Hope they catch the guy fast.

Reporter saying 5 officers gravely wounded.

From NBC/Dallas PD Scanner

Suspect confined. AR-15 used. One officer shot in the arm. No word on the other.

Supposedly multiple shooters.

3 DART officers were wounded.

4 shot, one dead.

Protest was peaceful. Police officers and protesters had been taking photos together. It was calm and friendly.

Prophetic on the sniper rifles. This is sickening.

Jesus christ

Protest was peaceful, several people are reporting how their lives were saved by officers. And situation is still active.

Yeah, especially since the US is a very safe country, hardly any violence unlike other countries.
