  1. Too bad he isn’t really a catcher.
  2. I am stifled at why people believe that Collins is some sort of offensive juggernaut in the making. His track record doesn't imply that likely to be the case. People fall in love with the OPS I guess.
  3. He will be 25 this Feb. The clock is ticking on his window to produce and it doesn't look like he is going to be offered an overwhelming amount of opportunity in the near future to do that. We shall see what happens but to me, the writing is on the wall.
  4. I kind of feel like the Sox have already made up their mind with Collins. Dude is as good as gone judging by their actions.
  5. This is good. They will leave themselves with future financial flexibility plus you know the Sox will be major players in the mid season trade market to go after any nice and shiny pieces available that route as well. That is something they have never shied away from. They may be cheap but they have always been willing to roll the dice and trade pieces to acquire proven assets. Should be fun.
  6. He is super young. Honestly, he is really immature and it shows but he will get better in all aspects as time goes on IMO
  7. Clinton Cole has a long way to go.
  8. Madrigal is going to be the guy that future little men want to emulate. I have a great feeling about that kid. He’s not going to be Pedroia or Altuve or Figgins but he might be a mixture of those and a touch of his own uniqueness. He will be great.
  9. I am slightly less of a pissed off Sox fan. That’s progress I suppose.
  10. I see the dude in that dm has now deleted his account.
  11. Fans really want to believe the Sox are something they are not.
  12. Define raw. Like, he has raw butt or something?
  13. Mazara is fine for a small market club rolling the dice. Some thought the Sox would approach this off season as ready to lock and load with full ammunition but this is just further proof, as if we didn't have enough evidence before, that they are operating as the same ol whitesox. They believe in shooting for second place because its more cost effective.
  14. Look at the post above yours. Would you rather it play out like that? Thats all the more likely.
  15. Because of his demeanor and his hat crooked? Are there advanced metrics for that?
  16. If the Sox sign Rendon ALL grudges and bad thoughts that I eternally hold against this organization will somehow be erased forever.
  17. The saddest part is that they probably do not have a plan B. Again. Just like last off season.
  18. I am so negative right now that in my mind I am convinced whatever decision Hahn makes will turn to sh** somehow and that Madbum would win CY young with the Twins.
  19. He isn't exactly wrong though. The Sox did this to themselves. Not only have they faltered along the way in terms of making the right moves and making flat out wrong ones but they have taken huge PR hits in the media with the Jerry loves second place story and all the shenanigans that came with last years miss on Machado. They dont have an equity earned with the fans and they will have to dig themselves out of this.
  20. I can’t pretend to be excited about the possibilities of Madbum. We are dealing with an org that has been saving bucks and asking for patience because they will spend it on a mansion and now that they are in the market They are actually bidding on a renovated 4 bedroom bungalow.
  21. I dont think I would have been ecstatic over a Wheeler signing. I have been more demoralized with the Sox FO approach financially then anything else. Knowing that they were the highest bidder makes me feel a little bit better about things. Then I remember there are two of the better pitchers in the game available right now and the Sox have already painted the narrative that they do not have deep enough pockets for them. FML
