Vaughn made the last out in the 7th so why wouldn’t you? Less of a chance of needing to see Leury bat when he’s not due up for 9 spots.

All true.  But still, Vaughn came out and Sheets went to RF.  That earlier mis-play by Vaughn hurt him.

Who were they gonna put out there, Leury is on one leg, Eloy was replaced by Engel, Robert is being held out, pollock was already in.  They didn’t have many options

This. There's not a huge difference between Sheets and Vaughn in RF, so you put Leury in the spot where's he less likely to have to hit and that was Vaughn's spot.

  Maybe if our guys were not a threat to go on the DL every time they sprint to first we would be ok. Eloy runs hard 1x and he was close to coming out of the game.  How can pro athletes not be able to sprint 90 ft? Can you please condition yourself to run the bases?
