Does anyone think opposing pitchers actually look forward to starts against this team? I honestly think they might.

The last time we had a good offense was the first half of 06. 05 was pretty much a bad offense who got hot in the playoffs. We have had the same thing going for the last 8 years. Lift and pull, score 10 one game, barely get hits for the next week. When you look at the end of the year we score our runs, but its not balanced. Its a combination of our GM picking up these guys, and our hitting philosophy.

Did we honestly look any better against DET and KC at this point 3 years ago?

I remember watching the likes of Blum and Borchard hopelessly flail away...more frustrating than this.

I find more frustation of Thome, Dye and Konerko flail away that 2 scrubs.

At this point in 2005, we were wrapping up a series win against the Twins by winning 3 of 4. We lost a heartbreaker in the first game, and then beat the s*** out of them the next 3 games. There was the Contreras masterpiece and Buehrle masterpiece that weekend, along with a bunch of homers.

Well we always hit well at home.

But didn't we lose 2 of 3 against the Royals near the end of the season that final month? There was one really sloppy and frustrating game (maybe it was raining) when Buehrle was pitching...not to mention that game where we had a HUGE lead against KC and somehow blew it. That was a nightmare, waking up the next morning and seeing the final score and staring in disbelief.

How long before this team realizes they can't steal bases???

The manager hasn't figured out his team cant but yet. Our manager thinks that his softball team built with linebackers is a set of dainty guys like Pierre and company.
