  1. Past hour

  2. We might find out soon enough. But huge roll of the dice.
  3. This is the second time in the last five games the bullpen has not been able to close the door and put the contest in the win column. They could be starting to break down because the starters aren't going deep into games. That to me is absolutely a cause for concern.
  4. Also, shouldn't that motivate JR even more to sell the team quickly and enjoy his money now? YOLO/FOMO vs. tax liability fears
  5. The place was absolutely rocking tonight. A real waste of a packed house and incredibly favorable pitching matchup. Felt like a sure win.
  6. Isn't that sexual harassment, at best, lol? hopefully NDA's are signed
  7. Looks like he’s going on 4 days rest against Tigers
  8. Matt is in much much bigger trouble than Justin By 2026, the company’s (UWM) balance sheet had already weakened from Ishbia stripping $3 billion of cash via dividends and distributions from the company. Then Ishbia made a large directional bet on interest rates. It was a bad bet. So last week, UWM suspended its dividend and signed an emergency rescue deal with the distressed situations desk at Oaktree. Ishbia claims the bet was to hedge the potential acquisition of Two Harbors. SEC documents point to a different, more plausible explanation: a massive wager — by a CEO who had insisted he didn’t trade on rates — that helped break the company’s balance sheet. https://hntrbrk.com/breaking-news/uwm3&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwi1mce-mZqWAxUdGDQIHWeyLGcQFnoECAYQAg&usg=AOvVaw2NPgXwZobVkYSlGAR96NuT Tray was SORTA right but it's not as much about PE as big bad mortgage leaders/financing in general operating outside their guardrails...
  9. I expected to see him take a couple weeks to lift and pull one out but he took half that time. Ahead of schedule. He keeps this up and shows improvement until the winter, then it will be time to consider this a success and pencil him in as our starting center fielder or potential platoon. Also depends on which Peters closes out the year… this Peters, first half Peters, or some blend of both.
  10. He also already owns probably 30-35% of the team, if not more, from minority share holder sales last year...they will figure a way to get it over the finish line. The bigger problem is the new stadium. That's another $1.0-1.5 billion that's all privately financed at this point.
  11. I agree Burke could've gone out for the 8th.
  12. Crazier things have happened. It would be a move that would either make Getz out to be a genius or an idiot. With that risk, I bet they hold them down… but with their growing ( apparent ) arrogance… I don’t think it’s as out of the realm of possibility as some may think.
  13. Oh snap, hadn’t put that together - good call.
  14. 5 or 6 games under .500 is par for the course if they were in the AL instead
  15. Initially I figured he’d be no better than Acuna… but after tonight… bring him in and send Angel packin
  16. Play better in the next 43 games than the Tigers, Indians, and Twins while beating them in direct play. Thats what we have to do.
  17. Felt like the offense called it a day after they got the 4-0 lead.
  18. His stake in UWM is half his net worth. But he can't buy the team for another 3 years. Unless UWM goes under, he should be ok.
  19. I am convinced that he was a great pickup and will excel with our staff in Chicago. Team is up 4-1 through 7. Bullpen gives up the game and everyone is jumping to extremes. They could have won and should have. Bummer. Just have to go get em tomorrow and have other guys pickup Hudson / Taylor.
  20. This team went on cruise control when they had a 4-0 lead and never changed gears. Step on them with one or two more and they had it. Hudson blew but with soft contact. Taylor is spent now in another loss. Was at the game and quite frankly, watching Burkes pitch count and how he was cruising, I wouldve given him the 8th. Have we had any starter pitch 8 this year? I feel like Kay and Burke had a few outings they could've. I agree with this being our worst loss....mostly because we played a team we should beat and the Tigers are too close for comfort. Have to brush it off with a W tomorrow. Have to...
  21. My guess is he is hurting more than they’ve let onto and we were essentially playing a man down.
  22. Looking at Twitter, and I will gladly admit I don’t understand this stuff….but is there a chance this craters for Ishbia and he won’t be able to afford the WSox?
  23. The only people that will cry are the people who somehow thought he was a good prospect to begin with. Madrigal, Rishida, Bergolla… These zero power guys can hit like crazy in the minors but they get shut down in the show.
  24. Did some research…in 9 of last 18 games, Sox have given up 3 or more runs in a single inning. Just seems they’re having a hard time stopping the bleeding of late.
