  2. Kay better bring his A game today, stop hitting guys and the walks especially against the lefties
  3. Only on ESPN. Strange.
  4. We need a ton of starting innings next year, and I am not sure where we are going to get them from. Supposedly the move to the pen this year for Smith was temporary, same with McDougal. I expect to see both of them at least start the spring as starters. My guess is that after two season as being a vital part of the bullpen, Grant Taylor is there forever.
  5. Sox are acting like p*****s. Trying to get cute and deek the opposition with last minute changes like Murphy yesterday and waiting to release today’s lineup. Just put your best players out there in the best possible position to succeed. Period. You’re the better team. Go prove it. Earn it. TAKE IT. WIN!!!
  6. It’s sort of interesting, we’ve used Murphy as an opener three times this year, all against Cleveland. There must be something in the matchup we like there. Though it hasn’t worked out — June 24, 1.1 IP clean, July 5, 3 runs 2 outs, September 15, 3 runs 2 outs.
  7. Totally agree. Fucking idiots.
  8. I know Hagan is trending that direction but not sure about Taylor. Taylor would have to develop another pitch perhaps? I feel like we are the only mlb team that doesn't have a fire balling starting pitcher. OF course we need a real closer from somewhere.
  9. The awesome branding/merch opportunities would have been limitless. What a total whiff on their part. "Guardians" is so generic I can hardly believe that was the choice.
  10. Don't you know BST stands for Bull s%*# Time?
  11. I will also throw out there that a fair amount of the things we get mad about (line up construction and general pitching usage) have been done for a number of years in combination with the front office and might not even be Venable decisions. Because of the roster management involved in some of these moves, I highly doubt Will alone is deciding the starters on a particular day. Now Will probably has the power for in game moves and when to deploy them, but all of the way back to Hahn, the setting of the rotation, openers, line ups, days off etc, are made in cooperation with the GM to make sure the roster fits what is being done.
  12. Honestly it’s been a net positive on the year as we’ve tried to make the best of a shaky rotation, but I don’t get using Murphy as an opener for Martin when Martin has looked pretty good since coming back. Newcomb or Hudson for Fedde or Urquidy when he was here? Sure, I get it.
  13. They should have gone back to Spiders, the old jerseys and logo were great
  14. I hate the fucking Spiders / Indians / Guardians. If I had f*** you money, I’d offer 500k to each roster Cleveland player for the chance to pie them in the face with some Skyline Chilli Pasta. f*** CLEVELAND. GO SOX!!!
  15. I’m in the camp that if they don’t win the division they failed. I don’t want a wild card. I want the two seed and the division because they had it in their hands. SWEEP THE FUCKING CENTRAL resets today!
  16. I will be the clay pigeon and cut Venable some slack. He is learning on the job and has done some things that are questionable, but I will stick with him. The same goes for all the rookies and second year players. They have all played hard and never quit, no drama, no excuses, never pointed fingers, or hid from the media. I will back these guys all the way. We are all frustrated but in less than 3 hours it's go time.
  17. I never said anything about a loss. I said it was stupid to start murphy.
  18. Me too, the Murphy decision (among other things) kept me up last night. But also trying to remember that the mentality coming into the series was need to win one (done) and winning two would really put us in the driver's seat. A single loss in this series is not a catastrophe - let's win today and secure a series win.
  19. I’m completely aware but the season isn’t over like some are claiming it to be. We’re in the middle of it and I understand we should already have left everyone in the dust. My optimism is my only remaining defense mechanism and the White Sox are the only remaining remnant of innocence from youth. So I’ll hold onto that… everything else in life I’m an angry pessimistic old man that thinks everything has gone to s%*#.
  20. Could say this is the biggest game of the year but in reality we still have 10 games left and what we do today won't matter if we don't play well in those 10 games. In saying that, please get that bad taste out of everyone's mouth and jump on Messick early, make him work. Messick has given up runs to us every start this year, he is above his career high in innings
  21. Why? You said it was a loss before it was played lol
  22. I'm still pissed about yesterday
  23. LETS FUCKING GO WHITE SOX!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. Today

  25. they're lucky 8 of the last 11 games are against teams they've owned this year, granted the pitching is worse and our sluggers have been horrible for the last month+

https://www.mlb.com/gameday/white-sox-vs-rays/2025/07/23/777030/final/summary Check out the homer Colson hit, there’s no way in the world he could do that now.
  27. WestEddy/Cali back into hiding...preparing a missive about how they are already one year ahead of schedule and all is basically well.
