  1. Today
  2. And its not as if his April & May were even much better than Billy Hamilton with juice. Maybe by LOOKING so much worse without Robert he meant they didnt look as tall, dark and handsome.
  3. There really isn’t any OF worth signing right now for the Sox. Bader is a bit too long in the tooth and is going to get overpaid due to last season. Conforto is blech. Maybe a guy like Hays is worth signing but even if he performs well for the first half, you aren’t dealing him for much of a return. May as well give these guys at bats.
  4. According to Garfien , Ozzie Guillen thought very highly of Acuna but then again Ozzie is Venezuelan like Acuna.
  5. Some people seem to think that a dual reality exists around the White Sox, where they have at-bats to give players a shot while also signing bigger names and playing those vets. I'm excited about Acuña and Pereira. Baldwin should really get a clear lane for an OF spot.
  6. He not a gazelle with gap to gap range like Robert Jr. He's more like a smallsh medium size dog who scampers very fast twitchy. He can really burst and his sprint speed is right up there with Hill . I know we have seen various comments on worst outfield in baseball history but we saw a lot of comments last off season about 2025 was going to be worse than 2024 too. I don't think the OF defense is going to suffer that much from losing Robert, Jr., Taylor and Tauchman. The hitting might be pretty bad but hoping Baldwin can go from negative WAR to at least 2 WAR if he can ride the hitting improvement he had in the 2nd half and learn how to use his speed to improve his range enough so his defense doesnt drag down his WAR. Acuna could accumulate WAR defensively and on the basepaths like Robert, Jr. did and if he can have a Sosa-like VZL league improvement ignite a hitting upswing we're not so bad out there. Baldwin's April through June was big nothing burger offensively but OPS after that kept going up. July .759 August .784 Sept. .828 covering 42 games and 141 PA Robert Jr.'s year consisted of 2 sub .600 OPS months, 2 sub .700 OPS months and one .990 OPS month consisting of 59 PA , which is less than any of the other 4 months he played in.
  7. I agree but reading the amount of glee here about a perceived White Sox /Fuller failure even though we all know he is capable of excellence will spark the snark. One blowhard here already stated how much hes looking forward to check the odds on Robert, Jr. for MVP and to laugh at those who sing Fullers praises.
  8. Has either pitched beyond A ball? I doubt either will be “ready.” But if they have the talent, which I suspect they do, hide them for a season. they are likely better than the org guy Getz will get when he trades his Free Agent middle reliever in July.
  9. So when is a realistic time for the Sox to look to buy? As in trade for a piece
  10. Should have gone SS in '24 and Pitcher in '25. (I say that because I really didn't like Smith ) Carlson may be good; just surprised he's ranked so low this soon after the draft.
  11. Could have 4 in big leagues plus Antonacci all the year Oh man I’ve been the opposite. Love him. He’ll be a top 50 at midseason
  12. More that they can likely get the SS of the future in the next draft. I get that you can never have enough up the middle players, but I’m nervous Carlson just won’t hit.
  13. Snarkiness is the new kindness. There was weeping and gnashing of teeth.
  14. I wonder if they’d like that pick back now
  15. Now Heyman's stealing from Bartolo's Colonoscopy.
  16. I've said this a billion times at this point but when I saw him from the 3rd row or whatever here he stood out even as a shorter guy as a fairly explosive athlete. Just park him in LF 5 days a week and see what happens. He has the profile to become what in today's game is a 3 WAR corner player. Hell all you gotta do is slash 250/310/420 and play a slightly above avg corner OF. The statcast stuff on him bears this out, he's got a little juice, just hopefully needs seasoning. If not who cares, move on to the next guy. No reason not to give him like 300 PA before the ASB.
  17. Heyman: The White Sox are also in the starter market after saving $22M on Luis Robert Jr. Mets, Yankees counting themselves out in Tarik Skubal talks
  18. Yeah you might be right. I’m desperate for rumors.
  19. Seems like a fake account. Only following 17 people, and has 29 followers.
  20. Never heard of this reporter, but thought I’d post here.
  21. I'm not convinced that Getz knows it isn't...
