  1. Past hour
  2. Is the issue his fundamentals or is he just spacey? The Sox certainly don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt, but not everything is necessarily their fault.
  3. I trust your process but not your conclusions since JR still owns the team and has shown 0 interest in the team except to lower the payroll significantly since he hired Getz and got the Ishbia's to take over ownership eventually and help pay off debts while JR is planning his estate for the benefit of his children, not for Sox fans. There's also no indication the Ishbia's are putting out any money towards players as of yet.
  4. No one ever ripped Marcus Semien for his plate discipline…dude rocked like a .400 OBP in the minors. Defense was certainly questioned, obviously prematurely in hindsight.
  5. You wonder how much of this situation is on Sosa or on the Sox minor/major league staff for being unable to teach the fundamentals. I'm guessing both are in play here Sosa and the organization.
  6. I said what I said tongue in cheek . I just meant it for the power and K rate. As I said later in the post, I know I cheapening Murakami's by saying what I did by quite a bit.
  7. I just don't want to see us trade Sosa and then him become another Marcus Simien. People here ripped Simien for his defense and plate discipline..........only to see him become a all star shortstop/2B
  8. Today
  9. I assume Fairbanks gets a deal soon. I will be shocked if it’s the Sox.
  10. MLBTR has a whole article on what the Murakami market looks like. The Best Fits For Munetaka Murakami - MLB Trade Rumors
  11. Yes, all that is known is that it’s a one-year deal with a mutual option for 2027.
  12. Dustin May terms still unannounced? Long time for that physical.
  13. He actually likes the White Sox. Kind of the anti-Keith Law.
  14. Initial projection: 5 years, $80 million Schoenfield is out of his mind. Adding the Angels, too? The first part of the blurb talks about him not being a good fit at 3B defensively, but then that's okay for him to play there in Chicago? Ishbia in charge...sure, big splashy move. Imai to the Giants and Tucker to Blue Jays doesn't seem so off. When does TOR become Evil Empire 1A? Maybe local media will be forced to wake up and ask Getz why not lol?
  15. I don’t think Schoenfield has ever been correct before
  16. There’s a lot of reasons why it makes sense but the biggest obstacle remains: Jerry
  17. Here’s the million dollar question. Would you still want him if the plan was to move Sosa to 2nd base and Meidroth was relegated to bench duty?
  18. ESPN’s headline article predicts Murakami signs with the White Sox. “Prediction: Chicago White Sox.Murakami's deadline to sign is Dec. 22, so we're running out of time. His market still seems wide open. The Phillies could also be an interesting fit, or maybe the Los Angeles Angels want to do something. Indeed, if any of these top 10 free agents land in a surprising spot, Murakami might be the one. The White Sox have money to spend -- their current estimated payroll is just $68 million and that includes $20 million for Luis Robert Jr., who might be traded. They have a desperate need for power and Murakami fits at either third or first, depending on where Miguel Vargas ends up. This would be a nice roll of the dice for a White Sox team that looks to be on the rise.”
