Yup the atmosphere is awesome. Easy to hang out before and after the games with all the bars around there. The stadium is really well integrated into the whole gas lamp district. You can take a glance into the stadium just walking around the neighborhood. It's a little like Wrigley, but actually well designed and modern. Also don't have to deal with annoying Cubs fans.

I've heard it's a great atmosphere in and around the park and their fans are pretty cool to visiting team fans....unless it's the Dodgers. Considering a road trip one of these seasons.

About the only negative comment is it's not for the middle class and it gets cold near the ocean at night but nothing like SF only city where Cronenworth Bogaerts Darvish Musgrove would not be booed for underperforming contracts Orsillo and Mud Grant are great too

Petco is such a great park. I finally saw a game there last month and the vibes are amazing.

Wow there really is no middle ground for these Cubbies.....they either go on a stretch where they look like world beaters or they really really stink.

You can maybe argue that they have more starters after getting Gausman and Holmes. But none of them are having the type of season that Burke had.

Cubs had negative WAR in their bullpen while the Sox had 4.9. Sox starters also out paced Cubs starters 8 to 6.6.

I'd rather have our staff as a whole, and it's not that close. Cubs got 6 fWAR total from their arms this season, which is the lowest for a playoff team since WC expansion. Burke and Martin both have more fWAR than any Cubs pitcher at 3.2 and 2.6 respectively. Throw in Kay at 1.3 and you've already beat the Cubs total.

surely the Sox bullpen makes up about half of that or maybe more...Burke was only one carrying rotation numbers

the only thing I'll say is both Morejon and Miller have been human down the stretch a return to previous form from Adam would be huge, as they had to rely more on Peralta and Matsui

The Sox have twice the amount of pitching fWAR as the Cubs. Their 6.0 pitching fWAR is the lowest ever for a playoff team. The 2nd lowest is the 1987 Twins at 6.3.

except for Sox, arguably three pitchers are FAs (along with Suzuki/Happ) and they really miss Steele/Horton Bullpen is also in complete disarray offense and defense first team a strange combo
