Andrus and Sheets should be just DFA'ed. They aren't going to get us anything. Another guy who could get us something is Santos. I know it would be hard to part with him because he has control but that is exactly what makes him attractive to other teams especially small to midmarket teams in need of help which don't have much wiggle room in term of financials.

I don't want to trade the guys with control. The guys I most want to move are Anderson, Clevinger, Benintendi (if there is interest), and Bummer if the prospects are there because relievers are the most replaceable. I'd also move Grandal, Unfortunately I don't see us getting much back for these guys maybe we could package Clevinger and Bummer and get a top 100. Just clear salary and start over.

Look at the FA signings. So much wasted money. We have actually done a good job on trades and drafting for the most part but FA has been a complete disaster The sad part is the guys we brought in like Garcia were obvious mistakes at the time.

These signings were massive mistakes we were lucky to just clear their salary to be honest with how inept Hahn has been filling out the rest of the roster is why we are not getting any returns. Normally I'd be happy with clearing these guys but the reality is Hahn has failed time and time again to be able to use FA to fill out the roster. None of his FA signing have much value to Benintendi to Grandal to Graveman.

Varsho bat is nowhere near Teoscar. It seems like they traded offense for defense pretty much all offseason. Also while Varsho metrics on defense last year were encouraging it's literally like 50 games or so. He has far from established himself as a gold glove caliber OF though the asset the Jays gave up (top ten prospect) demands that he be one. If the trade becomes an .750ish OF with power who doesn't get on base with above average defense they got taken to the cleaners. Anyways I wish we got in on Mareno to me he is going to be the next star at catcher. I was extremely surprised the Jays gave up that much control since Jansen is about to be a free agent and Kirk can't catch. What looked to be a surplus really isn't. Anyways to me this was one of the more lopsided trades this offseason.

You are right I saw the posts when he was hired why would I all of sudden believe that the very same people want him gone just purely for baseball reasons? And he hasn't been on the top of his game when it comes to lineups but the end of the day the season has been defined by hitters not hitting and injuries. I'd like him to stop doing the mad scientist thing with Lineups and just put in Engel in the outfield keep Abreu and Vaughn at 1B and DH. Alot of the lineup stuff is sort of trying to figure how to get sheets bat into the lineup which I don't understand because he is a terrible OF doesn't have the track record of success at the ML level and hasn't hit all year. If you aren't going to get hitting from the RF spot at least get some defense. Put Engel there I know at times we have been without Roberts and Jiminez but in that case bring up someone or sign someone. Sheets has a .660 OPS and a -0.7 WAR you can't find a replacement level guy in the minors or the waiver wire? The rest of the guys who aren't hitting you just have to have them continue to play and hope they snap out of it.

I haven't agreed with the lineups all year but much of what has happened isn't Tony fault. Plenty of people who hated him for his politics will pretend they are thrilled for baseball reasons of his firing. The reality is this team has way under achieved particular as it relates as to hitting and that is on the players but it's also on Tony for continuing to throw guys like Sheets out there when at least Engel would be giving you defense.

I don't really have issues with this offense or lineup. They aren't hitting I get that but look at their career averages these players are better than their numbers right now. Tim Anderson, Yoán Moncada, José Abreu, AJ Pollock, Luis Robert, Yasmani Grandal, Andrew Vaughn, Eloy Jiménez. Part of it is injuries too but Moncada is not going to finish with a .432 OPS. Grandal with a .505 OPS. Eloy with a .590 ops. These guys are good hitters have some faith in them.

I haven't been a huge fan of the lineups to be honest. I feel TLR is always adding one bad hitter to every lineup and I don't really get why. Play the best hitters and let them figure it out and either sink or swim. Perfect example is why is Sheets getting all these at bats? Look I get we have injuries but Abreu and Vaughn should be playing every game at DH/1B. If you need outfielders call someone up or make a trade don't throw Vaughn into the outfield to get Sheets into the lineup he isn't hitting so why take the defensive hit?

He could have meant something different then what Anderson took it. Regardless only a dumbass says something borderline to someone they aren't tight with that could be taken the wrong way or someone who is trying be slick. Either way Donaldson just needs to stfu and go away

Donaldson is a well known POS. Don't know if the comment is racist was or not it was borderline only Donaldson knows what his intent was. It clearly was an insult regardless and using Jackie name as an insult was disrespectful to not only Anderson and Jackie. Anyways glad Anderson and the Whitesox are just moving on from this. Donaldson is for the MLB and Yankees to figure out.
