  1. So this is much better news than a dislocation, right?
  2. It just means they’ve been pleased with his play from the time he arrived to when he got injured. I don’t think it was a knock on his base running on that play.
  3. We don’t play Cleveland on Sunday?
  4. True (like just now), but there have also been times when people have posted a screen shot that wasn’t from Twitter. And there’s been times when that screen shot gets posted here before Twitter has the lineup posted. It’s a screen shot with a black background.
  5. Where does the Sox lineup get posted first? Somebody usually posts it here before their official Twitter account posts it.
  6. This is almost exactly what went through my head when I first read it.
  7. Very true. Need another long outing from Giolito tonight...and then one from Dallas would be nice.
  8. I might just go with a bullpen day for that slot in the rotation. That’s basically what yesterday ended up being. Let Foster throw the first couple of innings.
  9. Detwiler faced only 21 batters in his first 7.1 innings pitched of the season. He’s probably the only pitcher in the history of MLB to do that.
  10. Most people wanted Cordero to come in with two outs, so Ross says “F*** You, I’ll just strike out two more guys this inning.”
  11. Do you think this is the first time in major league history that a guy (Detwiler) has faced only 21 batters through his first 7.1 innings pitched in a season?
  12. Does that mean Detwiler has now faced one less than the minimum through 7 and a third this year?
  13. I hope we get to see Dunning in the rotation. This could be a great opportunity for him that he might not have otherwise gotten.
  14. I would guess he is in the lineup on Wednesday (maybe even an outside chance of playing tomorrow).
  15. Only 111 pitches total for Sox pitchers today. I like that.
  16. I’m one of Timmy’s biggest fans. Not sure how you took my comment as a criticism of him. A guy with a great average who doesn’t walk much isn’t the best option for a leadoff hitter. I don’t think many people would argue that. Robert (most likely) also isn’t suited to be a leadoff hitter. But the offense had been struggling, and I was hoping Robert could have some good games at the top of the lineup, which could possibly give a jolt to the offense. It was nothing more than me trying hard to find a little optimism in the terrible news that Timmy was heading to the IL. I think you’re used to TA taking shit from a lot of posters here and lumped me into that group while overreacting to my innocent comment. Either way, let’s hope the offense keeps rolling today!
  17. Hoping I was right with this! Good start.
  18. Good point. Time to bump my post in the Anderson IL thread in hopes that it comes true!
  19. The bullpen wasn't going to go scoreless forever. If you're going to give up a bunch of runs, might as well make it happen in a game where we're up 7-0. (Disclaimer: "bunch" is less than or equal to 6)
  20. He’s not wrong. Give it a couple years, and Vaughn will be one of the best hitters on our team.
  21. Glass half full outlook: Robert is great in the leadoff spot, which gets the whole offense going, and then Anderson moves down to 6 or 7 when he returns, where he is better suited.
  22. I’ve been wondering the same. Maybe still waiting to see if Timmy can go?
  23. Ronald Bolanos
  24. If he does, he’ll be bunting the guy to 3rd.
