Harold Baines HOFer
During a long career Harold was among the top 5-6 hitters in many notable offensive categories. Although he is a very low-key guy fact is that 12 of the committee members have a very high opinion of him. Part of the reaction may be explained because he was an under the radar kind of guy. He should have only played for one team.

Harold Baines HOFer
There could be some truth in there but the real reason Baines got in was owing to respect from his peers. They were the ones in a position to best know.

Harold Baines HOFer
Paul Richards once said that Harold Baines would be stopping by Chicago for some years on his way to Cooperstown.

Harold might be similar somewhat to a Bryce Harper.

Getting in is hard enough but who is going to read his speech??? Traded for Samuel Sosa lolololol the irony. Nobody missed Sounds a little ambitious. Not quite a hiatal hernia but definitely straining. I had no idea people had even heard of Harold Baines.

Remember how the Sox kept getting rid of Luis and Harold. No class.

Winter Meetings Predictions
I assume Jordan Stephens will get a fair look in the desert camp. They need another starter or two better than Shields or Miguel Gonzalez. Spencer Adams could be added to the relief corps.

Fake news which hunt. Why aren't they investigating the Clintons???

Eovaldi signs with Red Sox
NE had 111 IP but then really stepped up for the playoffs and earned his payday. Not likely a full-timer and neither is Sale.

White sox active in starting pitching market
If they sign a couple of quality FAs and have two prospects contribute they could compete. Yet they need to add about 25 wins to reach playoff status. Typically White Sox playoff runs are oners with no repeats.

Herm Schneider to become Head Athletic Trainer Emeritus
The trainers can't stop young pitchers from trying to throw too hard and people don't like when Coop tells them to rely on other pitches. Some players may get injured because they are too muscle-bound.

Sox Non-tendering Matt Davidson
I don't think Harper or Machado have any particular connection to this org that would suggest they are coming here. Corbin grew up a Yank fan so he actually would like to play there if given a good offer. The Sox might be players for the next tier of FAs or trade prospects. Somebody who wants to captain a rebuild might not see a lot of progress here either.

Sox Non-tendering Matt Davidson
His strikeouts were impressive at 153 in 449 PAs but a power guy can be forgiven. I think he has the makeup to improve and stick around for a couple years. Should not start against most lefties but then he showed a knack for coming off the bench. You have to give him a little credit for being a clutch hitter. He is being presented with a challenge and asked to step up. Too bad his glove doesn't really play anywhere.

Sox acquire Alex Colome For Narvaez
One of the young catchers maybe Zavala will be promoted.
- Sox Non-tendering Matt Davidson

Avi Garcia non-tendered
As I understand the Sox may negotiate or non-negotiate with these two players along with Billy Hamilton, Jonathon Schoop and others. Try predicting that outcome.

Sox acquire Alex Colome For Narvaez
Yesterday Zack Collins said he aims to make the big squad out of AZ. More like his ambitions at this point.
