  1. If they can get a quality #3 starter for Schultz straight up or packaged with a no name I would do it tonight.
  2. I would too but who is it you package him with? Your not getting any kind of quality starter for Shultz and some no name.
  3. I didn't say he needed to learn something. Maybe there is something he has to change with his delivery or whatever but he can't have any more starts pitching like this. Maybe you package him with someone to get another starter. I haven't been impressed with him since he came up so it wouldn't upset me at all.
  4. You can't let Schultz have any more starts. Send him down and see if he can figure anything out. It's clear as can be if the Sox are going to stay contending for a playoff spot this year they need another starter. Who you put in a package to get that I don't know. I'm in the camp of not mortgaging the future this year to contend.
  5. Jackie Brown, one of my favorite films. Now the question is you ever have someone as hot as Pam Grier walk in to the office?
  6. What exactly is going on with Colson and his back? Is this something that is going to get worse every year? A back issue of any kind is not good. Do we know exactly what the issue is?
  7. You all are acting like Teel was tearing it up since he has come back. He was barely hitting a lick, .190. I would love to see the Sox go out and get a Catcher before the deadline as long as they don't give up too much.
  8. Can the Sox add pieces this year that will make them a World Series contender or just help them possibly make the playoffs? The answer to that determines how much value you give up to get that piece or pieces. This team is maybe a year away more likely 2, from being a serious WS contender. Until that time comes you can't be giving away any of your top prospects and I will be very disappointed if they do.
  9. The Sox have to stay away from any long, meaning more than 3 game, losing streaks the rest of the way. Right now in the AL you have 12 teams fighting for 6 playoff spots . Only 3 teams are out of the race. You have one bad streak and you could be out of the mix. The AL Central teams all play each other a lot the rest of the way. If they don't win the Division the Sox only chance, with a lot of other teams, will be the 3rd WC as the AL East will take the other 2.
  10. Roch will be in the bigs way faster than a lot of people think. He is a 3 year college player who has all the tools to be a future all star SS. The only way he isn't up by the end of next season at the latest is if he doesn't hit at all in the minors, he is that talented.
  11. Roch is this teams future SS. The guy has all the tools to be an All Star. I won't be surprised if he doesn't move through the minors very quickly.
  12. I used to do it when I was stressed. It is a very therapeutic.
  13. All 3 Sox on the field for the AL to end the game. Beautiful.
  14. Vargas hits an absolute bomb off a Dodger. Had to be so sweet for him.
  15. The Sox are finally putting as much stock in the character and personality of a player as their talent level. They have a type and the current roster and this draft class show it. Players that absolutely hate losing more than they love winning. Players that are athletic and bust it every second they are on the field. How many times this year so far have you questioned the effort of a Sox player? This is a team that is easy to root for and fun to watch. I give a ton of credit to Venable for creating an atmosphere that is allowing these young players to thrive. I personally think he is going to end up as one of the best Managers in the game.
  16. That is a very interesting angle.
  17. I want Roch. The thing that sets him apart to me is that he was a fantastic QB in HS. He has the toughness and leadership skill that will fit perfectly on this team.
  18. Peters is only 26. Is this the player he can be long term?
  19. This just feels like Burke will give up a couple and the Sox will be lucky to get 1.
  20. I live in MI, and hate the Tigers, but they are going to win the Central. And as weak as the AL is this year, if they don't trade Skubal, they have as good a chance as any to make the WS.
  21. If the Sox can't light up Civale who is washed then I don't know what to say.
  22. Listen, up until the last 3 months has there been much of any argument about who is the top pick. Then after Roch and UCLA lost in the NCAA Tourney and he didn't have a very good showing at the plate during it everyone got on this Emerson kick. If they are now considered 1 and 1A give me the College kid over the High Schooler most every time.
  23. The Sox look dead in the water right now. They have to at least take 2 of 3 against the A's to end this first half and then hopefully the break will revitalize them. It is looking like you will only need to be a few games over .500 to get a WC spot so hopefully the Sox can get it back together and make a run at that.
  24. I hope they prove me wrong but I cant help but feel this is the start of the Sox coming back to earth. They just don't have the pitching to contend through 162 games. If were honest none of us had this team contending this year. With the right additions the window for winning starts next year.
  25. This is definitely not a make or break series with 77 games left to play but it is important to at the very least split the 4 games. Yea there are no make or break series with 77 games left to play. Still at the very least you want to split the series.
