  1. There are going to be 23 teams still in the race for a playoff spot come the break. That makes this very much a sellers market. The Sox keep Robert, Vaughn and Cease. Everyone else is for sale. Of course none of it matters if RH is still the GM.
  2. Someone will for sure overpay for Lynn. Now just fire RH over the All star break and get ready to deal.
  3. I have been a Sox fan for 50 years. I have seen some incredible bad teams and suffered through some incredible awful seasons. For some reason I am more irritated with this team and this season than I have ever been. I have stopped watching most of the games. If RH isn't fired during the All Star break I won't watch at all the rest of the season. If your going to sell which they have to do he absolutely can't be in charge of the rebuild. At least I got my one World Series Title in my lifetime.
  4. There is absolutely no way that TA's off field issues aren't the main reason for his on field performance. Those of you who are married know exactly what I am talking about. I am kinda shocked his wife hasn't filed for divorce yet but she is probably been told to wait until after he is traded and signs a new contract. He is the typical Narcissist in that he doesn't put the entire blame on himself for his insanely bad choices.
  5. Someone will think they can fix him.
  6. Kopech is another one that has to be shopped to the highest bidder. He is a mental midget who can't throw strikes.
  7. This team will be 20 under .500 at the break. The all star break will be the perfect time to fire RH.
  8. What a shock, Kopech can't throw strikes. Over 50 pitches and not through 2 innings yet.
  9. I'm a pretty hardcore Sox fan and I have stopped watching the games. I might check in on a game once and awhile but other than that I am just fed up with the entire organization. I am totally resigned to the fact that until there is new ownership and a new GM this will just continue to be a total clown show not worthy of my attention.
  10. This team is nothing more than an investment to JR. An MLB team goes up in value no matter what it does on the field and he knows that as well as anyone. He won his WS. He has no desire to sink any more money in to this thing. As fans of this team we are screwed until a new owner takes over who hopefully wants to win more than anything.
  11. I agree on Theo. But hey, a man can dream right?
  12. There are a lot of teams in contention for playoff spots this year. There will be a huge demand for any kind of quality pitching. Giolito, Graveman, Lynn, Kelly could all bring a nice return. The big problem however is that RH would be negotiating the trades. You have to fire him within the next couple weeks and bring in Theo Epstein as the GM.
  13. You have to make it known that TA is available to the top bidder. His head is so messed up right now with all the drama he has to have going on at home. I mean can you imagine the wrath he must be feeling right now from the wife? You know she is going to take him to the cleaners when she divorces his stupid a**. The guy threw away millions by sticking his **** in crazy. And now he is going to be paying child support on 3 kids for a long time.
  14. This entire organization is garbage. They have to sell at the readline but the problem is Hahn is garbage and can't be trusted to negotiate anything. JR has to fire RH and hire Theo Epstein.
  15. The book is out on Kopech. Make him throw strikes and he will beat himself with walks and a huge pitch count. He is at 86 through 4 tonight and will be lucky to finish the 5th. I would probably shop him at the deadline and see if you could get a contender to way over pay for him.
  16. Yes Lynn could bring a nice haul at the deadline. Teams like the Dodgers and Yankees will vastly overpay for a starting pitcher. If they had a competent GM that is.
  17. No things have gone off the rail for him since his side piece came out saying she was pregnant with his kid. He has since admitted to the child being his and I'm guessing his wife has made his life a living hell since and he deserves it. Nothing can bring a man down harder or faster than woman problems.
  18. You win with players that put winning above everything. You win with players who absolutely hate losing. You win with players who demand accountability from eachother. This team has very few of those players. It has way too many players who are consistently hurt or don't hustle 100% of the time or who don't do the little things that you need to do to win consistently. This has become a team full of players who have come to accept losing and that is the absolute worst. The only hope of future success is by tearing this thing down again but this time bringing in those type of winning players I mentioned. And in order to do that you need a new GM who has proven experience doing just that. That means letting go of RH now. Chicago is a huge market and there are more than a few very good GM's out there that would love to come and turn this thing around. JR has to open the check book and pay whatever and give total power to the next GM. Most everyone should be made available for trade. I would build around Cease, Kopech, Robert, Burger, and Vaughn. None of them are older than 27. Will any of this happen? Most likely not. But one can dream.
  19. Hopefully someone will be stupid enough to trade for this tub of lard.
  20. Moncada won't be hurt on the dance floor later with a Cuban hottie on each arm you can bet on that.
  21. Changing the culture of this team begins with getting rid of players like Moncada. You need a team of players who winning is the most important thing. He got his money and he stopped really caring.
  22. Watching the Yankee feed and their announcers were commenting how lackadaisical Moncada is. I'm so ready to move on from him.
  23. Burger is what they call country strong. The guy is built like a truck. He really got himself in great shape. You have to get him in the lineup as much as possible. He gives 100% all the time. The Sox need more players with his attitude and love of the game. The sweep was great to see but I'm not getting sucked in to being optimistic about this team. The Tigers are an awful team. The next 22 games is their toughest stretch of the season. I predict no better than 7-15.
  24. Lynn is the first guy you trade at the deadline. Teams are always looking and over paying for pitching. The guy is washed but some GM will think he has something left.
