  1. I think with the payroll cuts they all knew it would be a bad year. But maybe they thought they could win 65 games or whatever. It will end up more like 40-55.
  2. Cash flow dries up. What do I win?
  3. Let's go Nick Nastrini! Hopefully Colas has a decent showing too.
  4. I dont think there's any bromance between Grifol and JR, I think Grifol is just kissing ass to try and stretch out this gig/paycheck as long as he can. He's a loser but he has at least double plus corporate shill/suckup skills.
  5. Schultz dominant again. 3.2 IP, 0 ER, 1H, 7K, 0 BB 46 strikes on 63 pitches. Future Ace Savage
  6. Jake Eder savaging so far.....5 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 6 K, 1 BB.
  7. IMO his development is more important than any of those guys. The Sox felt he was a first round talent pre injury (which it looks like he has recovered fully) and paid good money to prevent him from returning to LSU. He isn't being challenged at all in Low A and there's nothing there that will force him to make adjustments. It can be just like Schultz in AA....get him in the rotation and another starter can piggyback mid game during his starts. It's not like they are letting Taylor go 7 innings each time or anything.
  8. Taylor needs to be moved up to High A.
  9. Like everything except the handedness.
  10. Nice!
  11. I know but I was hoping maybe we could pair him with a reliever and get something good.
  12. Yeah but they didnt sign him...thats the whole point That would be a weak return.
  13. Rosenthal article mentioned today that they like Tommy Pham. I wonder what we could realistically get for him?
  14. STFU Pedro you stupid dumbass...its your job to get them ready to play.
  15. Schultz AA debut: 4 IP,1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 5 K. 28 strikes on 40 pitches FILTHY Iriarte now in.
  16. Dude is killing it in AA so far
  17. He has a very low BABIP...and his WRC+ is still solid nontheless....when it normalizes his stats will really take off.
  18. It sure would be a shame if they wasted another year of their window.
  19. It's true that his BABIP is abnormally low at .213 but he's also not walking anywhere near as much as he used to and he's striking out more, and there's still no power, so part of it is on bad luck but alot of it is on him too.
  20. Hopefully Zavala is starting to turn a corner at the plate.
  21. Colas isn't doing a ton at the plate right now to earn a promotion even aside from the stupid beef the staff has with him.
  22. Bye, Mom
  23. Good to see he snapped his cold streak lately.
  24. Sounds like he's only a couple weeks away.
  25. He got 44m SV in exchange for giving up 42m, so he got fair value, but perhaps not the expected significant additional premium for pitching.
