  1. The Southside is where hitting prospects come to die.
  2. And you know Lucas is good for at least two more bombs the other way.
  3. Right, because they are so stacked on the bench with so many better options.
  4. A guy at the game the other day put it best, Moncada is a grape. Always something. Meanwhile Abreu takes a 96 MPH gunshot to the knee, "I'm good. Let's go skip. "
  5. Jesus Christ, this guy says a whole lot of nothing using way too many characters.
  6. For this season, why not? The team is in desperate need to get more offense in there. If that's by plugging Burger (or anyone else) at 3B and moving Mocada to 2B, then go do it. It's no like we're relocating Mike Schmidt here. Nothing is owed to Moncada. If the Sox feel they can find a good enough bat to plug in at 3B and move Moncada to 2B, Sox need to explore every option.
  7. Yes, home team makes the decision before the game starts. Once it starts, it's up to the umpires.
  8. The sox have OF reinforcements coming back later this year in Engel, Robert, and Eloy (if they plan to put that Circus Act back out there). They have nothing to plug into the middle IF right now to try to win this season.
  9. Part of my problem with Rick Hahn is his lack of imagination. Al these guys have options, start shuttling guys in and out of AAA until something clicks. Sitting here and doing nothing on the pen is unacceptable.
  10. You'd be saying the if it was Marshall or anyone else.
  11. As rested as he is and day off tomorrow, why not?
  12. Not many guys are scoring on that, that ball got to RF fast.
  13. BTW, Lamb looks like he also blew a tire. Looks like IL might be coming.
  14. And he comes thru. Thank God! If Grandal would be more agressive, he'd crush.
  15. That 2-0 hanging slider is what's irritating about Grandal. That ball should have been crushed to the river.
  16. Exactly how I feel about Cease. The stuff is out of this world, yet he can't avoid that meltdown inning.
  17. While we look around at all the issues surrounding the line up with the injuries, if we don't get MVP Abreu back then there is not point to it. He has a huge hill to climb to get back there. Not good.
  18. You know we're in deep shit when they are looking over their shoulder to check on how Billy Hamilton is progressing from his injury.
