Whiteside to the Jazz. Womp. More I read about Khem Birch, the more I think he fits what they need.
-
Tacko Fall? Not sure if serious. Lol
-
I want Whiteside now. He's matched up somewhat well with Giannis in the past holding him to "Only" 20ppg. In the price range I think he's just the perfect fit for what this team needs.....I still don't know if Khem Whatshisface is a real person or not.
-
Man. If PWill takes a jump and can handle the 4, this is a squad. Not to mention, I'm not sure Ball is done developing either. Same could be said for White as a 6th man.
-
Bulls are said to be discussing Khem Birch. I don't know anything about him, but a quick search tells me he's really solid on defense which is obviously a big need.
-
What do we think of Tobias Harris?
-
Williams still intrigues me enough to where I'd have no issues if they can't make DeRozan or a DeRozan level player happen. Idk who's out there, but I think I'd rather they try and get a legit well rounded 4.
-
Man, I didn't realize just how solid Caruso was. I guess he was the best on guard defender in the league last year. Ball is a good defender as well. If they can add a guy like Whiteside, I could definitely see the Bulls making a Hawks like jump.
-
Hassan Whiteside is still out there. Ball/White/Caruso Lavine/White/Caruso DeRozan/Williams Thad/Whiteside Vuk/Whiteside I know Williams played the 4 quite a bit last year, but does he really have the size?
-
Ball-Lavine-Derozan-Thad/Theis/Marko-Vuk could be a wholllllle lotta fun.
-
I'd hope they keep Thad around. I think he'd be beneficial to have around Marco who I have some hope for. If they can trade Sato and Lauri they'd have 25 mill in cap space and their MLE. Hopefully that's enough for Ball and whatever they bring back in trades. Ball-Lavine-Williams-Young-Vuc should be a pretty fun team to watch.

I was a fan of Nick, but I think there's a reason there aren't very many guys like him in the majors these days. If he was an elite baserunner I'd be love him, but he is what he is and can be easily replaced at not a huge price. I'm fine with Hernandez for next year at the very least.

Alright gang, I'm sure a lot of you have gone. L.... I need any tips on Vegas vacation deals! Me and the fiancee are doing the whole Vegas wedding thing!

Cesar Hernandez traded to White Sox, Konnor Pilkington to CLE

He's going from the top of the order on a .500 team to the bottom of the lineup too. -

The .898 OPS in his last 21 games, along with taking his low BABIP into account has me very content with this deal. -
Cease and Keuchel both had really bad games to start the month which really skew the numbers. I do hope they start to stretch out Kopech after adding to the pen. Give Rodon some rest here and there. Skip starts and/or piggy back the 2.
-
Have the Sox committed to Eloy as the full time DH? It's an awful defense, but you could hypothetically play Eloy-Robert-Vaughn in the OF with Hosmer and Abreu at 1B/DH. Hosmer has an OPS over .900 his last 20 games

To me, it depends on how wide Jerry wants to open the pocket book. I'd be more than happy to give up Madrigal and Crochet++ if it means they're gonna resign him and are not gonna go cheap to fill out the rotation.
-
I think it's a little silly to be real hard on them for not doing anything yet. I can't even be real hard on them if they don't add anything but a reliever either. It shouldn't really be a surprise that they have struggled without 3 all star caliber players being hurt. Getting Eloy, Robert, and Yaz back should be huge.

Should the Goose Island Goose light up on home runs?
scs787 replied to Heads22's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Not to derail the thread here but.... Are they still doing the 10 dollar standing room only tickets in the goose island section? I've got a 7 year old antsy boy who I don't think is ready to sit through a whole game. He also has an odd obsession with geese, so I'd bet he'd love to see the goose out there. Thinking about just paying the standing room only to take him out to the ball park for a bit, grab some food, dip his toes into the game of baseball and hope something sticks....for cheap, knowing he won't wanna stay. -
IF they're willing to go over the cap, which 8 teams did last year and there should be no reason the bulls shouldn't be a team that goes over, they definitely can. Signing Ball on the HIGH end at 20 mill a year would put them at just 57 million dollars in cap. That's Ball, Vuc, William's, and White. I can't find the cap numbers on the 2nd round pick from last year but I'm sure he and this years 2nd rounder would be what, 3 mill? So now you're at 60m. Signing a max guy puts them somewhere between 90 and 100m. Add some depth for around 10 mill....THEN because he has bird rights, you can go over the cap to sign Lavine. You're looking at a salary north of 150m but it's allowed and should be something they want to do. For shits and giggles let's say Kawhi is the guy. He said good things about Williams before and maybeeee hed play alongside him PG-Ball/White SG-Lavine/White SF-Williams PF-Kawhi/Marko. S C-Vuc/Marko I still think White can turn into a solid legit 6th man. If Marko can develop into a solid NBA starter or even 1st big off the bench, that be huge. You should be able to bring in a pretty solid forward to play backup to William's and Kawhi as well.
-
Certainly a possibility, but it could also go the other direction. I THINK even after Ball(Or a guy like Murray from the Spurs) and a Lavine extension, they could still sign another max player in 2022. A lot of ifs, but if a true PG works well with Lavine and Vuc, Williams emerges, White becomes a solid 6th man, and this Marko guy looks good, then this looks like a really good destination IMO.
-
Lonzo is a far cry from CP3, but we are seeing just how important a good PG can be to a team. Before thinking about blowing it up, you gotta see what this team can do with a true PG. If PWill takes a jump and Vuc/Lavine can mesh better, this team can be pretty good.
-
This could hurt. Had a tree fall on my car, had to get a new one asap, was struggling and ended up cashing this out. Oof.
-
Team definitely needs a point guard. If they can't luck into a top 4 pick, they really need to make the trade for Ball happen. I suppose I'd be ok with Shroeder as well. Lauri is more than likely gone and hopefully their 2nd round pick from last year can come over and fill his role. I've been following his box scores throughout the year and if he translates he should at least be as good as the version of Lauri we have seen lately. Coaching is gonna be the thing that gets them to the playoffs IMO. They gotta figure out how to really work with Vuc and Lavine to get the ball rolling.
