It is pretty simple. If he gets hot during October, the White Sox can surprise and he becomes a legend. If he stays inconsistent and strikes out in key moments, it was a good FA idea that didn't pan out and he is no longer a White Sox player. The terms of his contract were perfectly orchestrated with Vaughn's timing and potential to free up some $$$ off the books for 2021. It is going to be an interesting next 3-4 weeks. I really wish he would be batting 6th though.

Springer gets either 2/40 or 3/55 this off-season. No one is breaking bank for him at his age and scandal level. Look how hard it was for Castellanos to get signed. Springer could even get less than his yearly amount and that makes him very appealing even if he is a cheater.

McCann is going to sign somewhere and be exposed for being a slightly above average catcher with a 130+ game workload. And Grandal will outperform him the next three years and people here will pretend like it was smart to let him walk

do NOT want Yankees missing postseason. every FA will be bought this offseason if that happens. Indians and Cubs series could be hilarious since they both may be setting up rotations/resting guys, etc. Those could be Yolmer/Engel series MVP type debacles.
