  1. Had to live through some horrible, lumbering, slow, plodding, lifeless, uninteresting matches and promos. Made it through, but MAAAAAAN, there were times I wondered if I would.....
  2. QUOTE (IamPabloOzuna @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 03:36 PM) what the hell is a "toin coss" It's what you win to host a one-plame gayoff...... wait....what???
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 03:05 PM) FANTASY HOCKEY Hey guys, I started a fantasy hockey league, I want the norms who post here to join up. Why the f*** not? Anyway, its on Yahoo. League ID is 3209 and the password is "gohawks". Join up, draft is next Thursday. Thanks anyway, my brother, but I don't do fantasy sports. Tried a couple times, and lost interest quickly.
  4. For me, this is like a tree falling in the forest. I never read the Tribune or visit their site. Jay's douchebaggery will only reach my eyes through this site. I'm sure Steve Dahl's kid is happy. His Jay The Joke site will have some slight reason to exist again.
  5. QUOTE (Mr. Showtime @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 06:00 AM) Well, if they want the player to be there, they can't just pick any game they want. In the case of Wilson it would have to be when the Sharks are in town. HOORAY FOR THE OBVIOUS!!! How bout they decide which player they want to honor, see when he's available, and get that done before you release the schedule. Doesn't sound that hard to do to me.
  6. There's a fourth Heritage Night on the schedule with the player TBA. TBA? Really? Gotta think about it, can't commit to a player before you release the schedule? I'm guessing Al Secord or Doug Wilson.
  7. 105 years old, and Alice is still the MAN! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiAiLeo-f0A
  8. QUOTE (Texsox @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 10:20 AM) Hmm, both corner infielders - Out corner outfielder - Out team MVP and possible league mvp - Out team captain - Out Let's hope baseball truly is played "up the middle" This post has been flagged by The Department of Redundancy Department. One of those corner infielders is also team captain. The corner outfielder is also the possible league MVP. You are found GUILTY of trying to make two scenarios seem like four scenarios. Punishment - DEATH BY HANGING.....TWICE!!!! [/green with a green background]
  9. QUOTE (shipps @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 10:24 AM) Lou says the Cubs need to roll their jerseys up.LOL I love when he talks like an old man. It was even better than that. He said they need to "roll up their shirts and kick someone's ass". Boers & Bernstein had a field day with Lou's tirade, and they were funny doing it.
  10. QUOTE (juddling @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 05:43 AM) Ric Flair's daughter is making the news.....for getting arrested and tased...... Woooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!! Space Mountain, closed for repairs. Ric to the kid's boyfriend: "Whether I LIKE ya.....or DON'T like ya.....I better LEARN TO LOVE YA....cuz you're who my daughter....is boinkin'.....today......WHOOOOOO!!!"
  11. Can't wait to see video of Patrick Sharp shooting the first pitch with a hockey stick. EDIT: they just showed it - he flipped a little wrister to the plate. I LIKE those Sox hockey jerseys!!
  12. Well, it was clear that the Sox didn't take BP today.
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 7, 2008 -> 10:23 PM) Y2J is your new World Heavyweight Champion. Shawn sure showed him, huh?
  14. Hawk crying about calls. What a shock.
  15. Reds score 3 (probably 0 ER) in the 9th off Wood to win 4-3. Wood was bad, their defense was worse.
  16. QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Sep 7, 2008 -> 09:52 AM) Weasel himself was an arrogant prick back in the day. I'll give his show a shot though. He seems to have a better sense of self these days. He does veer into jaggery every once in a while, but he seems much humbler on the show.
  17. Playing my favorite Dylan song, Jokerman, right now in honor of your birthday. Have a great day!
  18. Yeah, Rex, hope your birthday kicked ***!!!
  19. Local punk "icon" Ben Weasel hosts a very interesting podcast entitled Weasel Radio out of ESPN Radio 1070 in Madison. It's a nice blend of talk about music, sports, politics and life in general - it's always funny and interesting. Here's the link to the podcast archive: http://www.espn1070.com/cc-common/podcast/...Weaselradio.xml Weasel Radio =
  20. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Sep 7, 2008 -> 09:08 AM) I had the same reservation about Ledger playing the Joker Fair enough. I hadn't remembered seeing anything Ledger had done before TDK (although my wife told me he was in Monster's Ball, which we had seen together), so I had no preconceptions about him.
  21. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Sep 7, 2008 -> 08:34 AM) Back to the subject at hand, I actually think that Ruebens might be able to deliver the goods on the Riddler. JMO. It will probably never happen, but I think he would be a good choice I think he could bring a creepiness to the role, but I don't think he would bring any sense of menace to the character. It would be an intriguing choice, but IMO it wouldn't quite work.
  22. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Sep 7, 2008 -> 08:02 AM) Well, he really DID ditch the character for about 20 years. He probably wants to make a little more money I know he put the character away for a long time, but to me "ditching" means gone and not returning. I really liked (and still like) the TV show, but I'll never see this movie. That ship sailed a LONG time ago.
  23. QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Sep 6, 2008 -> 08:10 PM) Oh come on, the guy is actually a great actor and extremely versatile. I could easily see him playing that role. Well, he's probably unavailable anyway because he's in production for the 2009 release OF..... Pee-Wee's Playhouse, The Movie!!! I thought he wanted to ditch the Pee-Wee character? He's also involved in a new Todd Solondz film with Demi Moore, which is in pre-production, and a movie called Nailed with Jake Gyllenhall and Jessica Biel, which is in post-production for a 2009 release.
  24. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 6, 2008 -> 09:06 PM) It's really sad to watch. SC played Yost's post game interview, and was crying about the pitch count CC was at, and that he can't keep pitching CC at 120 pitches. Hey f***tard, maybe you should have taken him out of a 8 run game when CC had already given up a hit. However, Yost was apparently more interested in trying to get CC a fake No-hitter than making a playoff push. The Brewers don't give half a damn about Sabathia. They have no intention of trying to sign him long-term so they're gonna burn him for every pitch he's worth. The team that signs CC to that next contract will be the ones to pay for the over-use - at least that's the Brewers' hope. It looks pretty blatant to me.
  25. QUOTE (zenryan @ Sep 7, 2008 -> 12:04 AM) I wonder how many more fights Liddell has in him now. Evans just knocked him into next spring with the punch. That was a beautiful punch by Evans, and just in time cuz Chuck would've connected with the uppercut in another half-second.
