Horrid baserunning by AJ. The first bluff took any chance of a DP away when Chone looked at him (although I agree that he didn't seem to be going to second at all), the second UNNECESSARY bluff doomed him. Stupid.

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 09:20 PM) Ned Yost and Eric Gagne are getting booed about as bad as I've ever heard by a home crowd. Brewers fans know horrible when they see it.

Kittens hang on. Thanks, you Detroit Douchebags!!!

Big K right there. One more bomber to go.

Kitties trying their best to blow it. Bases loaded and one out for the Twinks.

QUOTE (Nokona @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 03:00 PM) So not only are they going to run on his platform, they're now going to use the "more of the same" line. what a bunch of f***tards "I'm John McCain and I approve this blatant ripoff of the line Al Gore used in reference to me 150 times about a week ago." And I'm sorry, but if there's a bigger "instant celebrity" right now than The Hockey Mom, I haven't seen him or her.

QUOTE (jphat007 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 02:51 PM) I want to punch a wall. Have we learned NOTHING from CQ's injury????

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 02:46 PM) I guess I just don't care if we're expected to win or not. We just lost the best player in the league. I don't care if expectations are lowered. I could see us going into a big funk without him. The guy just lost his chance to be MVP and he's gone. FICKST!!!

QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 12:08 PM) How about Paul Reubens as Riddler? "'Scuse me, officer, I'm TRYING TO WATCH THE MOVIE!!!!!"

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 07:55 AM) Ha, Hawk is gonna run out of stretch calls [crack of bat] "THAT BALL HIT DEEP!! C'MAWN, NOW, GIT UP HERE!!! COME TO POPPA!!!!" "....daggummit...." -
QUOTE (juddling @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 06:46 AM) This summer..my wife got me into watching America's got Talent...and i have to ask.....is it me or is it ironic that i see Sharon "F'n" Osborne giving advice on singing. Has she ever shown any shred of talent that I don't know about???? I don't know much about her younger days...maybe there is something ther but i doubt it Well, her father was Don Arden, a music manager who used to manage Black Sabbath, and she's been Ozzy's puppeteer for quite a while now, so maybe she learned something about singing from one of the other groups Arden managed.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 1, 2008 -> 09:03 PM) I'm surprised nobody has discussed Killer Kowalski. Why? Sumpin happin? Hell, even I'M too young to have seen Killer in his prime. The WWWF didn't have national TV coverage when Killer was at the top of his game. Still, he was a top name for a long time, and it's sad that he passed. RIP Wladek. -
I buy the Sun-Times almost every day, but I never once bought it to see what Hysteriotti would write. I would sometimes skim his article to see what the subject was, but the headline usually indicated what he was writing about. I would very rarely read the articles, and was usually sorry when I did. It's nice to not see his smug smirk on that inside back page.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Sep 1, 2008 -> 11:17 AM) HBK likes to play the "up off the mat with a serious injury" angle a lot. His last PPV with Batista played on his knee injury, I dont buy anything with HBK until he is off the television for at least a month Very good point. I'm interested to see how you tear a tricep at a contract signing. -

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Sep 1, 2008 -> 10:55 AM) Are you sure its not a work? Jericho is claiming to have pulled HBK's arm completely off. You can never be 100% sure it's not a work, but it seems legit from early reports. -
Going to my sister's house for a party this afternoon. Working tonight. Sleeping late tomorrow.

Anybody else ever play 500? One guy would hit a rubber ball (or a softball) and if you caught it on a fly it was worth 100 points, one bounce was 75, two bounces 50, three bounces 25 and no points for 4 or more bounces. First guy to 500 was the batter for the next game. It would get pretty physical once someone got close to 500.

Wow, this is the f***ing HEIGHT of irony - I'd never seen this before: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlwQwMrOD98...feature=related Tom Green, a guy who MADE HIS NAME by f***ing with people, loses his s*** when the singer of Jackyl takes a chainsaw to his desk. He gets all butthurt and can't recover enough to even conduct the interview. Not so funny on the other side of the prank, is it, Tom?

Now, bear in mind that these are stupid and I only say them at home cuz my wife knows I'm dumb already: Thome = Neat (his favorite descriptive term for things he likes) Uribe = Pot Smoker (he has that stoner look on his face) Quentin = QUIH-IH (like "OH NO YOU DIH-IH!") Dye = Main (shortened his name and also my "main man")

Chad Johnson Officially Changes Name
The Critic replied to Steve9347's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
In related name-changing news: http://mmamania.com/2008/08/28/jon-koppenh...to-war-machine/ I love how he refers to the wrestling fed as "gay-ass", probably right before he worked on his Rear Naked Choke. -
This was good times! Soxtalk at its finest and oddest!

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 01:18 PM) Hopefully if he does, they don't stick him in mid card mediocrity again (I mean if Brian Kendrick can challenge for the WWE title, then anything is possible I guess). One interesting storyline possibly, is he could be the one who brings Edge back from hell, and those 2 cause havoc and form some sort of stable. I KNOW - THEY COULD CALL IT......THE BROOD!!!! -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 07:28 AM) We have an ethics clause... being a Red Wing fan violates that clause. Well, if the Red Wing fandom didn't do it, I luckily have the Packers as Plan B.

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 08:56 PM) If Foley goes to TNA and bashes WWE, I will lose ALL respect for him, and he isn't a guy I put in the category of top legends ever. As for Kennedy, he is garbage. Every time he gets a push he blows it. They can release him to TNA where he can become Mr. Johnson, for all I care. I doubt Foley will go there to bash Vince or WWE. He seems to respect the business, and I think he just wants to be in the ring, and that wasn't going to happen at WWE. I'd be surprised if he went there like the Ice Age Outlaws and aired a vendetta. -
QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 08:28 PM) My boss the cub fan said something really dumb today. He said if the brewers win the next 30 game in a row, they still can't catch the cubs. Wow, that is stupid. A Cubs fan who's paying attention could say that even if the Cubs lost every game for the rest of the season, they'd still finish the year over .500.
