QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 03:33 PM) Hey what you do in the privacy of your own bathroom... Nahhh, I'm not that well-connected. I don't even have a blog.... -
My wife was trying to tell me what he said, but it sounded like a lot of double-speak. The two things I could gather from what she told me were: Dave never really answered the question of why he "vanished" or whatever. and He thinks he wants to return to the show. Ultimately, I don't really care. The time away has cooled me on him, and the show.

QUOTE(Goldmember @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 10:55 AM) like this? Yeah, but the problem is he doesn't STICK with it. That is the look I was referring to. He looks good there, but then he'll start to think he's NOT going bald and grow it back out.

QUOTE(thedoctor @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 09:57 AM) i doubt anyone considers it classic rock but i love superstition by stevie wonder. Classic, yes. Rock, no.

I've never seen a James Bond film. Not even accidentally.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 09:10 AM) We now know that somebody only posts for his own glory and doesn't bother to read what anybody else says. ......sorry......did you say something?......excuse me?.......

QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 07:54 AM) That always seemed very risky, teeth and all . . . And the strength of the human jaw as well. YOWCH!!

QUOTE(Yoda @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 04:04 PM) Congrats. to the winners! You guys have showed that your intellectual posting has made a positive impact here at Soxtalk, and for that you are rewarded. Except for MY award. There's no place for intellect in trying to be funny. Thanks to those who voted for me - it's nice to know that 20-some-odd people think I bring some laughs to the board. We have HOW MANY registered members here again??

This thread has turned gayer than the Village People doing interpretive dance to Liza Minnelli songs with Richard Simmons. -
I don't golf, but I'd really enjoy going bowling, playing cards, or playing 2-on-2 basketball with: Jenks Ozzie and AJ. THAT would be a fun little group right there!!!

QUOTE(kevin57 @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 09:59 PM) BTW, is there any other way for a guy to be raped? Very sad to hear about such a troubled young man and the hatred that exploded into indefensible violence. I honestly hadn't considered any other male rape possibilities, SIR.... I was trying to differentiate between forceful anal invasion and willful anal invitation. Of course, with that kid being SUCH a violent homophobe, I guess we can assume that willful engagement in that activity wouldn't be likely....

David Lee Roth is a mess!!! My wife was SUCH a Van Halen fan growing up, and every time she sees him now she can't believe she was so hot for him. But hey, people age. Not everyone's going to keep a look together. Roth might be better served by taking a short hairstyle and letting it grow out of the dye job.

Had he answered, maybe he would have given new meaning to "Seacrest....OUT!"

While I enjoy a fair amount of their songs, a Smashing Pumpkins reunion doesn't really interest me. What's done is done, let it lay. I guess Billy sees the ticket prices for the Pixies, Billy Idol and The Cult and thinks "hmmmm.....WE were an alternative band, too......."

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 09:41 PM) I'll see your Jailbreak and raise you a Cowboy Song. That was a heck of an album. The riff in Jailbreak sounds to me like the direct precursor to the more memorable Neal Geraldo riffs - Hit Me With Your Best Shot, Hell is For Children come immediately to mind. There is no shortage of great Thin Lizzy and Cheap Trick songs, but I went with Boys Are Back and Surrender because they're the most well-known of their songs. If we're talking favorite songs by classic rock artists, then I'd say Thunder and Lightning or Cold Sweat by Lizzy and Auf Wiedersehen or Baby Loves To Rock by Trick.

They apparently did card him, according to a story I read on another site (CNN, I think). Fake ID, said he was 23. That jackass needs to go to jail and get anally raped on a daily basis.

QUOTE(soxhawks @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 11:10 PM) good move to go back to Japan. he was fun to watch when he was on, i just feel sorry for the people who bought shingo jerseys. I almost bought one in 2004, and if I had I'd still wear it proudly. I was a big fan of Shingo's. Shingo Time!!! was the highlight of 2004 for me, and I felt terrible for him when it all came apart. I guess I kinda figured it would come apart, just because a trick pitcher is in trouble if hitters figure out the trick. He just didn't throw hard enough to make guys respect the fastball enough. They could sit on the Frisbee and know that if he came over the plate with his 85mph fastball, they'd still be able to put it in play. I believe he'll get a ring, and I hope he does. He did have 8 saves for the World Champs, and he contributed to some of that hot start. SHINGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! [Gonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng!!!!!!!!]

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 07:29 AM) Oh he show up, and go through eveything... Then he would go back and complain that he didn't know that they were retiring his numer and he never would have participated in it if that's what it was. I mean someone could have called him to let him know... Nice one, that does fall more in line with Frank's M.O. ....
-
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 01:58 PM) me as well. And my dog is better in the OF than Gload. I bet Gload's a better Frisbee player than your dog, though.....cuz Gload can throw it back, he wouldn't have to run it back to you.

QUOTE(whitesox1976 @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 08:35 PM) I am sure most White Sox fans will always love Frank Thomas. He even though he signed with Oakland, he will always be remembered as #35 with the White Sox. If it were up to me I would retire his number this season. He probably wouldn't show up for it, though.....

QUOTE(Pauly8509CWS @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 05:44 PM) Actually, Viscera used to be Mabel from Men on a Mission. They paraded around to rap music in big baggy MC Hammer style clothing. My buddy got the Wrestlemania Box Set for Christmas, and we've watched most of them... Ahhhhh, yes - Mo, Oscar and Mabel. A stupid gimmick in an era of stupid gimmicks. I don't WANT that information in my brain - I can't remember my sister's cell phone number but I can remember the names of Men On A Mission???? NOT cool..... -
Which one will hold more laundry on it?
