I like 'em both, but I do give the slight edge to Boston. I love either of the first two Boston albums more than any particular Rush disc, although I like more Rush songs in total ( 30 years'll give you that edge, I guess ). My favorite Rush disc is Power Windows - a great, great CD.

QUOTE(mrzo2733 @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 10:41 AM) No, she didn't know. I told her when I was talking to her though. She seemed pretty oblivious. She was quite the b****. She'll have quite the shock waiting for her in the future, then. b**** minus looks = alone, or living with 150 cats.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 08:28 PM) I've only used SoxTalk at school like 3 or 4 times. Teachers would freak if they saw some of these sigs, avys, and particular vocabulary usage. I'd guess that the English teachers would be particularly distressed.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 04:33 PM) LOL, me and Milkman Delivers were trying to figure out if anyone on this site is much of a wrestling fan. Seems I found out without having to ask directly, I agree with Shawn Michaels angle right now. He needs someone from his past to start messing with him, he has feuded with just about everyone on both shows for the past 3 years, and nothing has really stuck. Vince is getting a little paranoid with TNA making a small splash in the market lately, so he has been making himself seen alot more and you can tell who has the heavy hand in the storylines lately. He has been threatening to fire Michaels in the past couple weeks, maybe HBK is looking for some time off. Yeah, guilty as charged. I've been watching it since the mid-70's - it's one of those things I wish I could quit watching, but it's just a habit now. I rarely watch an entire episode anymore, though - I usually tape it and fast-forward through the stuff I don't like. I can go through a Raw or Smackdown in like 20 minutes tops, and TNA about the same (which is saying something, since Impact! is only an hour long). On the TNA front, rumor has it that Spike is thinking about moving Impact! to Thursday nights at 8pm Eastern, followed by a block of UFC programming. I think it's a good move if it happens - no direct WWE programming against it and a much better timeslot than 11pm Eastern on Saturdays. -

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 03:50 PM) But shouldn't the "biggest player in the game" show a little more respect for the "biggest event" in his game? If the NFL wanted to reduce this type of story, they'd cut out the 2-week wait for their championship game. All these news/sports outlets are looking for something to talk about, so they're going to pick at whatever bones they see lying around. I'm guessing these media outlets pester guys worse than telemarketers. At some point I bet they talk just to get them to stop asking. -

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 03:40 PM) Shawn Micheals was the f***ing man. I watched Raw last night(For AJP) for the 1st time in atleast 5 years. When the hell did he get back in wrestling? I think I might start watching again just for him. HBK had some guts. He came back a couple years ago. His back is feeling better, although it's always a concern. He's working a regular schedule, though, so he must be doing all right physically. I don't like the angle they have Michaels in right now. Just another rehash of the "don't cross the boss" crap Vinnie Mac has already used with Austin, Foley, Rock, etc etc etc. Problem is, Michaels isn't seen as enough of a rebel character anymore, since being born-again in real life. The angle doesn't work, IMO. -

QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 01:20 PM) They got youngsters I believe. They are trying to trim payroll a ton so ownership can sell the team. Yeah, I saw the list of players they got, and they also got a #1 and I think a #4 pick. The names didn't jump out at me, but then again I don't really research these things like I did when I was younger.

I am SO far behind when it comes to hip-hop. At the risk of sounding like an old man, I haven't heard too much newer stuff that catches my ear. For me, it's all about DeLaSoul, Public Enemy, Ice-T ( I LOVE "O.G." ) and to a lesser extent KRS-One. My guilty rap pleasure was 3rd Bass.

Brett Favre leaning toward retirement
The Critic replied to SSH2005's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
You could see how torn Favre is about the decision right now. The way I heard it, he basically said he doesn't REALLY want to quit, but he also doesn't want to suffer another season like this past one. Can't blame him for that at all. I just hope he comes to a decision that he can live with comfortably. I like Favre, mostly because my wife is a Wisconsinite and therefore a Packer fan. Since I don't really care about football, it was easy to ignore the hatred most Chicagoans have for the green and gold and cheer for the Pack. -

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 10:36 AM) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Post whore makes a great point. Alot of columnists and radio personalities havent caught on to the sox marketing the past few years. The stadium is more friendly to kids than wrigley field. We are trying to get the families to bring their kids to the park so they grow up sox fans. The origin of alot of cubs fans is watching WGN when sox games couldnt be seen. Now we are trying to reverse that trend by making it easier to get to the park, and more fun for kids to watch. With this championship, Im sure alot more young fans will choose the sox in the future. This is definitely working in my daughter's case. We go to both parks every summer ( my wife's a Cub fan ) and my kid enjoys Sox games MUCH more, because of the games on the scoreboard, Southpaw, Fundamentals, the Kids Club, the on-field parade, and so on. She likes going to Cub games, too, but she clearly has a better time at USCF. I think the World Series win is actually causing backlash from her, though - whenever the White Sox are brought up in conversation, she rolls her eyes, laughs and says "Dad is LOOPY about the White Sox!!"

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 01:12 AM) My question is when does the Hawks fire sale begin? It cant be far off now. Tallon has been trading guys steadily all season, so it's not so much a fire sale as an ongoing auction. Besides, you won't get much for your "stars" when they're all injured.
