  1. QUOTE(Steff @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 10:45 AM) MO, those who feel he is stale haven't listened in the past year. As well I think it's underestimated as to how many will follow him. Upwards of 70% of his audience is upper class professionals. As for Infinity sitting him.. they are his biggest cash cow. Just for suspending him from those 6 markets last year they lost, by their account, nearly $200 million $'s. His ad supporters are extremely faithful. That speaks louder then his fan base, IMO. I have listened in the past year and I do think he's gotten stale. I would listen occasionally and I just didn't hear anything that would keep me coming back. It seemed like every time I listened he'd be crying about the FCC and how he's being persecuted. Sounds like Mancow minus the black helicopters following him home. I was a fan at one point, but that was a pretty long while ago. I won't miss him now.
  2. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 11:21 PM) Courtney Love hired someone or did it herself. I'm convinced. I've long said this too. I lean towards her hiring someone to do it. I could see her "helping" him OD, but I can't see her shotgunning him. Although you'd think if someone murdered Cobain, the urge to tell someone would have too much to hold inside. Unless that person was mysteriously struck by a train and killed.....? There are too many weird things about this case for it to be a "simple suicide", IMO.
  3. (begin green type) We don't know when the millionth post will arrive, we don't know which forum or thread the millionth post will be posted in, but if there's ONE THING we can be almost 100% certain about, it's this: SS2K5 is FAR more likely to post #1,000,000 than anyone else. It's 3AM at the House Of 2K5, and a hungry baby is crying: "It's OK, honey, I'll go feed her.....here's your bottle, sweetie.....now go back to sleep......." (clickityclickclickclickityclickclickclick) (end green type)
  4. QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 06:58 AM) I don't know one person... not one... who likes Mike North. Why can't the Score figure that out and can the bastard Because he has SHARPLY IMPROVED RATINGS!!! For SCR, that means 5 more people tuned in.
  5. It really, honestly, NEVER gets old. It sounds better every time I say it, looks better every time I see it. Coolest thing ever.
  6. I'm in for an 8-game share of UD seats right at 1st base.
  7. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) I'm a non smoker and I like going to bars and shows. I won't miss the stink on my clothes or how my contact lenses feel like razor blades when I'm around smoke. C'mon, that wonderful smell on your clothes the next morning is one of the best parts of the concert/bar experience!!
  8. Yeah, what those guys said. I'm only posting in this thread to boost my post total.... Here's to ya, Mike! Enjoy your day!
  9. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 10:01 PM) He was #59 during most of his time with the Pirates. Being that #3 can't be worn, I'm betting he goes back to 59...that is, unless we retired John Snyder's number and nobody told me about it. Ain't nobody takin' Man Soo's number til he's good and ready to give it up!!!!
  10. Joe-for-4 can be number .163 now.
  11. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 09:49 AM) PS: I found out that the BULLS where wearing the uniforms of the CHicago Stags of the late 40s, and the Wiz were wearign the uniforms of the 1972 Washington Bullets. ...and they both looked like s***. Those Stags uniforms are f***ing ugly. Looks like they dressed in the dark.
  12. I don't mind him as a player, although I do have "cockiness" questions about him. I'd prefer to see in-house options exhausted before the Sox look elsewhere for CF help.
  13. There are programs out there that decrypt DVDs and shrink them to fit DVD-R's, but I'm not sure of the legality of it, so I won't mention any names. Sorry.
  14. Let 'em get a Yankee-seque All Star team - it won't matter. They're cursed by a goat, a black cat, a Gatorade-soaked glove, a fan and a baseball, remember?
  15. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 11:51 AM) I hear it will be making an appearance in Birmingham this coming season. No, no, that's Joe Borchard. He looks like a statue facing a decent curveball, but he's no trophy.
  16. 25 minute train ride ( normal time ) 20 minute car drive ( 5 minutes longer than normal ) SUCK ON IT, b****ES!!!!! Just got in from a 50-minute shoveling session. Ridiculous amount of snow. Helped my neighbor get her car through the snowbank that is her driveway.
  17. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 12:28 PM) If Mackowiak won't help us get one more win this year, he is more worthless than Timo ZING!!!!
  18. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 12:18 PM) I was going to mention that but I didn't want to embarass you. Oh, don't worry about it, fire away when the opportunity arises. I have "embraced" and "taken ownership of" my stupidity, so it doesn't embarrass me at all. I'm "mentally handiCAPABLE".
  19. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 12:06 PM) That's a good point. I know that "older" couples who are 25+ when they get married are a lot more successful in their marriages. .....can't run as fast.....
  20. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) Why are you worried about the last album? It wasn't one of the questions. Screwtosser. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! God, I'm so retarded!!!! When I read the question, I thought it said name the Beatles' first and last ALBUMS!!!! WHAT A DORK!!!!! ....now what are their first and last names????......
  21. 22 right. And I don't know the Beatles' last album, and I don't care! I think it was Abbey Road, but it could have been Let It Be. Who knows? Not me.
  22. "My Humps" has got to be in this thread somewhere..... ....and now it is..... .....you're welcome.
  23. I'm sure this also means that since cigarettes are so bad for you, the government will stop taxing the f*** out of them to help cover budget deficits. Oh, wait, cigarettes are only good when they can be used as an "easy tax". I'm also a non-smoker, but I agree with LCR's "slippery slope" scenario. I've always thought that if there is as huge a demand for smoke-free establishments as is being suggested here, some smart entrepreneur would have opened a few "smoking is not even an option" bars/restaurants/whatever and made a killing from it.
  24. QUOTE(3E8 @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 10:36 AM) They gave up the two best pitchers in their system (with arms that aren't going to fall off). I read that both of them had setbacks when the Cubs tried to promote them to AAA. They performed well in AA, but that's no guarantee that they'd ever make the majors. They needed a player like Pierre for their offense badly, and it's worth giving up prospects and a low-end starter like Mitre to get him.
