Ric Flair
QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 02:15 PM) Did Ric have any special "wrasslin'" hold or moves that would usually knock out his opponent right away (and also knock the ref unconcious as he went to do it which would let Jimmy Hart jump in and smack the opponent over the head with a bungalow)? He could/should have done that. It would have been a better story. He also should bring Bobby "The Brain" Heenan with him to do the roadside commentary. Not really. His finisher was/is the Figure Four leglock, which you have to already have your opponent in a dazed position on the mat to apply. Now, Baron Von Raschke was the Master Of The Claw Hold! He could slap that claw right on the guy's temples through an open window! And how does one lift a bungalow? Could he lift a nice split-level ranch instead?

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 01:50 PM) Good Lord...NOT THAT!?! Well, to be more specific, assault charges stemming from a road rage incident in which Flair allegedly dragged another motorist from his car by the neck and kicked a large dent into the vehicle. Flair had to post 10K bond after turning himself in. Better now?????

"The Nature Boy" is in a world of grief right now, although if any of his soon to be ex-wife's claims are true, he's also quite the prick. http://www.charlotte.com/mld/charlotte/ent...ip/13307913.htm Brief summary: Divorce Spousal Abuse Adultery IRS Troubles Road Rage ....yikes....

David Cross' Open Letter to Larry the Cable Guy
Adam Corolla on radio = funny to me. Adam Corolla on TV = NOT funny to me. Not sure why, although the freakishly large teeth are fairly distracting.

Bad Movies that you like
QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 12:31 AM) you mean the movie theatre that the lady found mouse droppings in the popcorn. I don't know that lady, or that mouse, and I always - ALWAYS - bring my own snacks to the movies. So yeah, that theatre. I love that theatre, actually. I've seen more interesting movies there than I have at every other theatre I've ever been to combined. So for that fact alone, a herd of mice ( do mice come in a herd? A flock of mice? A gaggle of mice? Den? Coven? Bunch? ) can s*** non-stop in the popcorn and have a piss-in-the-lemonade party and I don't care.

flipping your car....
About 20 years ago I was riding with my (then) brother-in-law and we started spinning out on a VERY high bridge/overpass. Did at least 4 complete rotations before hitting the guard rail and sliding downhill unable to brake. Thank the Good Lord Jeebus that it was very early on a Sunday morning and traffic was extremely light. The pants I was wearing did not survive the incident..... ..... as was said in the first post......wouldn't recommend.

Bad Movies that you like
QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 11:42 AM) Freeway - The movie that first introduced me to Reese Witherspoon. Also starred Keifer Sutherland and Brooke Shields but I'd never even heard of it until I saw it on TV one day. I saw this at the Music Box theatre when it first came out. I f***ing LOVE this movie! "Looks like you got hit with a ugly stick, BOB!" Nice twist on Little Red Riding Hood, it is....

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 01:30 PM) I'm almost too old. Remember the days of lining up 2 hours before the doors even opened so you could get a good spot near the front? Then standing through 2 openers, then through 2 hours of the headliner, for a total of like 7 hours on your feet? Nowadays, my feet and back give out after 3 hours, tops. Last night I missed both openers, arrived 5 minutes before Dinosaur hit the stage and jumped in a cab 30 seconds after they were done. I had to do the long wait for the Face To Face farewell show. At least I was entertained by the F2F kids whining about My Chemical Romance opening up. I had heard of MCR before that show, but hadn't heard their music. So I asked one of the kids what they were like and he says to me: "You like vampires?" "I can take 'em or leave 'em - why?" "Their gay-ass singer thinks he's a vampire!" At which point the little MCR girls wheel around and start screeching at this kid, "DON"T make fun of him, he's awesome and he looks better than you so what the hell are you talking about, you must be jealous cuz he gets all the girls and you stand with your ugly friends in the back of the club"..... Highlight of the night until F2F hit the stage.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 01:04 PM) I hear ya man, I'm just bustin' your balls. It's your life, your money and your time. No sweat, man, it's cool. I think I just have to keep repeating my reasons, so I can convince myself that's it's NOT because I'm getting too old for that s***.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 12:18 PM) A moment of silence for The Critic please. Nahhh, the way I see it these days, I'd MUCH rather fight the crowds at USCF than at Metro. I don't have as much "extra money" ( as if there is such a thing ) as I did when I was wifeless, kidless and houseless ( NOT homeless, I'm no Woo-Woo ), so I have to choose my entertainment options more carefully. Going to USCF with my wife and/or daughter >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> any show I've ever been to.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 12:10 PM) Get to that show, live your life. I've done enough living. I'm just tired of the whole concert thing right now. From driving to the venue to overpriced beer to pushy assholes banging into me to get a better look - ugh, keep it. We'll see if it comes back for me - if not, I've seen a ton of excellent shows, and a few s***ty ones too.

So who's gonna start it up?
QUOTE(WinninUgly @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 10:32 AM) Just say " Show me the Thome!" Or "Thome The Money!!!!!"

Jon Garland
I'll wait to see if 12-win Jon returns or if he really did turn a corner. If he really wants to see who'll pay the most, it's a fair gamble. People are overpaying for pitching lately, so if Jon repeats anything near his '05 performance he can expect some pretty nice offers in free agency.

Hmmmm....counting backwards 9 months......approximately October 15th......Garland defeats Angels to put Sox up 2 games to 1 in the ALCS.....CC is VERY happy that evening......and the REST.......is history..... unless it's really September 15th and I'm retarded..... Yea Walgreens!!!
There are laws I don't like, but if I break them there are consequences to pay. These pharmos can refuse to fill a script, but they shouldn't whine about their consequences. Make the choice, pay the toll.

Wow, talk about not fitting....."homies" is about the LAST thing I'd connect to Thome. And THAT's why it's funny!!!!
