QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 09:07 AM) I know for a fact that I heard the atrocious song "Rollin" by limp bizkit at least 25% more times than I have heard "Light my Fire". Not me. I've had to deal with that over-rated crap band all my life. I can't stand the Doors. At all. Not one song.

Does anyone else hear that?.....I keep hearing this annoying little buzzing.......like some small, insignificant creature......like a flea or an ant or a mosquito......it sounds like it's really far away, but it just keeps buzzing and buzzing......it won't stop.....I try to block it out, but it's just so annoying and shrill.......anyone else hear it???? /green and hopefully, /people paying attention to Bobby Valentine

That's a solid move for the Cub. Mitre is a 5th starter at best, and prospects can flop at any time. If Murton is anything close to the hitter he was for them last year, then they only need one outfielder. Corey with a K needs to be moved, for his own sake and theirs. It'll be interesting to see what happens with that Tampa deal offer still on the table. If it's Huff, I think they have their third outfielder.

70 million pounds will buy a lot of crack! Good ol' Courtney Hole...... :puke And I can't wait to hear "Territorial Pissings" in the background as Martha makes some lovely dainty doilies or plants begonias in her garden.

UH-OH, the second half of the season is coming up soon......at least I can watch it now, knowing that everything worked out OK.....

Used to listen to Stern, got tired of him a long time ago. Political radio bores me. Sports talk, I can take some of but not too much. I listen to a little Mike & Mike, some MJ&H, and some overnight AM1000. I used to listen to Kevin Wheeler on Sporting News Radio, but he's gone now and the new guy is an imbecile. I occasionally listen to a little bit of the Johnny B and Roe Conn shows, but not consistently.

I'm watching Sox Pride right now, and I keep seeing Shingo smiling. It sucks that he couldn't be part of all this. I know he lost it and he had to be replaced, but he was the highlight of 2004 for me. Of course, I'm watching the highlights of 2005 right now, and it's a LITTLE better than 2004....

QUOTE(TheBlackSox8 @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 06:14 PM) same here.....I've gone through many pages and i don't recognize a lot of the bands that were discussed. But this is a good thing! Check out a band that sounds interesting, hit their website, listen to them. Maybe you'll come across your new favorite band that way. Every band is unknown the first time you hear them, after all.

Tape's already set to record. The MLB World Series video is on again right after Sox Pride, in case you want to get them back-to-back. Still getting both DVDs anyway, but this'll tide me over until Christmas.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 05:32 PM) That doesn't look as weird as I thought it would. That A's hat looks okay on the Hurt.

Frank is still the f***in' MAN! I want him to CRUSH with the A's if that's where he lands. Let him finish 3rd in the AL in HR, behind only Thome and Konerko, and let him have a great playoff series as the Sox eliminate the A's.

They forgot to mention his stage name, MC Dumbass. It's too bad (in a general sense, and for his family and friends who will miss him) that he died, but he died a VERY stupid, avoidable death.

So was that a CRASH course you had to get to??? ....sorry..... Hope you're okay and that there's no serious damage to your hand/wrist.

"Red Carpet" DVD premier at Arie Crown

Tower Records on Wabash downtown had a bunch of them for 14.99 today. -
QUOTE(kapkomet @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 08:46 AM) I get that all the time. Fortunately, all I have to do is say the building name I work at, and mysteriously, I don't get bothered anymore. "AHEM....do the GOLDEN ARCHES mean anything to you, SIR?????"

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 12:20 AM) I'm pissed off they cancelled Arested Development. Really, really under-apppreciated show. I watched AD a few times and it just never clicked for me. Now, Blue Collar TV, on the other hand......

Sucks that Mueller will probably start for a worse team, but if the money's better and the playing time is there, I guess it's a decent move for him. I'd like to see him on the Sox, though.

Well, at least the American League has their own version of Kerry Wood now. (almost not green-worthy)

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 09:05 AM) This might be the first post over the course of hundreds of posts where I actually recognized the name of who was being discussed Well, HELLO, Mr. Mainstream....

If the deal was right, I'd love for the Sox to get Juan Pierre, just to watch the Cub trolls' heads explode at work. I'm home today so I'll be watching BBTD ( can't call it "Tonight" if it's on at 1:30, heh heh ).

QUOTE(Y2HH @ Dec 4, 2005 -> 09:05 AM) Well is there any way we can get them in private for our own private use in our own private homes? How 'bout asking that via private message?

If you're going, DO NOT forget to bring a camera. I read in the paper today that you'll be able to take a picture with the World Series trophy, but it specified "with your own camera". I take that to mean that there won't be anyone taking shots with a Polaroid for you to purchase. First showing of the Sox Pride DVD, a copy of it to take home, a picture with the trophy, Sox players attending......I dunno, worth 30 bucks to you??? It sucks that I won't be able to attend.

QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 10:30 AM) Thats some funny s***...but seriously they should spend more time worrying about the big ticket packages...thats what brings the big dollars. Has anyone seen an updated count of how many STH there will be for 2006? I know club and scouts are sold out. I agree that their focus should be on bigger ticket packages, but to me it just looks bad to advertise the Ozzie Plan, then push the on-sale date back, then take the ticket reps off the Ozzie sales. It's like "you Ozzie Plan people were good enough when no one cared, but now that REAL season ticket holders have popped up, go play with your computer". I understand 100% that it's business, and good business at that, but it still seems like a slap at Ozzie plan people. I saw an estimate somewhere of between 18 and 20K season tickets sold. Not sure if it's accurate, but that's what I saw.

QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 02:39 PM) "They will be sold online, no ticket rep association with this plan.....Continue to check Whitesox.com for details." There appears to be a disassociation with this plan and White Sox ticketing. Yep, seems like they'd rather this plan just go away now that they're selling a lot more "real" season ticket plans. "Don't call us, don't come over, our reps are seeing someone new, you're a wonderful person, it just didn't work out, it's not you, it's us...."
