FIVE consecutive shutouts! 325-plus minutes of shutout hockey and COUNTING - a new NHL record! Here's a guy who was third on his own team's depth chart, and didn't even PRACTICE with the team for a while - the Coyotes had the two other goalies practice with the team and Boucher had to take shots from coaches after practice. He only got to play when Sean Burke got injured. He's really caught lightning in a bottle - I'm curious to see how long he can keep it going.

I'm not a doctor and I don't play one on TV, but my guess is if you still have a headache tomorrow, you may have a concussion. Right now, the pain may still be from the welt and the force of the blow. I'd suggest just staying with the Tylenol ( although I prefer Advil ).

I think Frank's HOF chances are damaged by the fact that he's been a DH for a few years and stands no chance of returning to 1B, and his reputation for being surly with.....well, EVERYONE. He was on the fast track until he got "hurt". ( please pardon the pun ) There was nobody scarier at the plate than Frank in his first 6-7 years. He was "Must See TV" whenever he stepped up to the plate.

I'd be absolutely stunned if this deal was done. Then again, I'd be practically stunned by ANY deal bringing a proven major-leaguer to the Sox. There is no reason to think that this or any other deal will be made. Unfortunately, I believe that the Sox are going to patch their roster up with bargain-basement nothings that nobody else wants. I really really REALLY hope I'm wrong. And I would LOVE this Boston deal - one more reason it won't happen. Getting Garciaparra AND getting rid of E6? Too much to even dream about. ( and yes I know Nomar made more errors than Valentin, I just really dislike E6, always have - he grates on my nerves... )

Yeah, after reading this, I looked everywhere for news of the signing, and all I see is that they've discussed the parameters of a one-year deal. I'd also like to know the source.

This ENTIRE thread is proof that the Chicago media is either racist or lazy to insinuate that there's no good restaurants or bars around USCF. I would personally go with "lazy"...

Yeah, I REALLY DOUBT that it's spelled "pasta"!!!!

That gives them at least as good of a rotation as the Cubs, because I'm not 100% sold on Psycho Zambrano or Matt Clement, but this move might push the Cubs to go hard after Maddux.

El Caballito?

I guess they got suspicious because customers could actually UNDERSTAND what was coming out of the speakers!!! I'd never know if they're swearing at me or not, because it all sounds like Charlie Brown's teacher to me!

He had a bad first half-year... ...and a bad second half-year in 2002... ...so YEAH, technically he had a bad year! I think he'll be just fine this year. Which could make him more attractive trade bait NEXT year, if they're hell-bent on moving him.

Sad sad news from the world of Hair Metal.... http://www.metal-sludge.com/WarrantCallsItADay.htm Personally, I thought Warrant hung up the blow dryers YEARS ago...who knew they were still out there??? story courtesy of Metal Sludge, my favorite source for sarcastic heavy metal news and views!!!

Well, it does seem to have trouble with the problem of how not to suck... and Aboz, 4 years is not that bad between 21 and 17, and will become less and less of a problem if you end up dating her long-term. If you talk to her more and like her, keep going - it's all good. And BTW, it's nice to see a "young'un" with a mature attitude about dating. Of course, you could just be playing the "sensitive caring guy" gimmick...

I wonder if they'll vote to make them RED????

...US Cellular Field! ( well, POST-renovation USCF anyway! ) Go to http://www.stlcardinals.com and check out the artist's renderings for the new Cardinals Field ( naming rights have not yet been sold, apparently ) and tell me if I'm crazy. The structure looks USCF-like, there's an outfield concourse that looks a little familiar, and I'll be damned if those upper-deck seats don't look a LITTLE high up there! The roof structure looks a LOT like the new USCF roof is supposed to look, too. Funny....I thought the OTHER Chicago ballyard was the one everyone wanted to have....and just wait and see the media fawn over the new park in StL. Edit to add that I LOVE the open-gate part behind the outfield - it just SCREAMS "Get IN HERE!!!"

Yeah, so am I. Let the system take its course, and let's see if anything resembling the truth appears through the circus.

SS2K4, I hope you don't think that I'm defending Kobe, because I'm not. He's a big boy, and he made his bed. All I'm saying is that I'm sure a fair percentage of the people chanting "guilty" and holding up "No Means No" signs at a basketball game are the same people pontificating to their co-workers or family or neighbors about "the lack of morals in today's athlete" and "setting a good example for children" and that sort of blah-dee-blah. Then they go to a sporting event and chant guilty at the guy with low morals. Seems a little contradictory, that's all...
-
Also heard on SportsCenter that the fans chanted "Guilty" when he would touch the ball. I don't think that shows much class, either, by the way....he hasn't been convicted of anything yet. Not saying he is or is not guilty, either, because I have no idea. I just think it's kinda cheap to chant that kind of stuff at games. I like my insults game-related...unless is ShamME, then anything goes...

I have no problem with "Pudge" Rodriguez. To me, Fisk will always be #27 in Boston waving that homer fair. Ugh.... I don't know much about him, but was Fisk called Pudge while in Boston, or was that coined here? Not a fan of Fisk, never was. Odd, too, because when I was a kid, all my heroes were catchers and goalies. Bench, Sanguillen, Downing ( before he moved to LF ), Tenace ( he played every IF postion except SS, too, that was cool ) - all childhood faves. But not Fisk - he just seemed angry or something to me. Besides, there've been tons of "Bull"s, "Iron Mike"s, etc etc, so I think there's room for 2 Pudges.

Too expensive, too expensive, and too expensive for this cash-strapped owner in this tiny tiny market.....
-
Yes, because there are so many f***tards who won't be deterred by telling them "it's the right thing to do". The best thing would be some sort of signal blocker that takes effect when the car is out of park. You can use it if you're in park, but shift out of park and you can't talk.

Worst's answer: "STILL TOO MUCH!!!!"

I think "Glen Hussein" has a nice ring to it...

I could live without eating while driving and smoking while driving ( easy since I don't smoke ), but people pay so little attention to anything these days that ANY additional distractions are very dangerous.

They should follow their own advice when they list the NHL Power Rankings...
