I wouldn't be too quick to throw Zambrano in there. He started getting smacked around at the end of the season, and was kinda crappy in the postseason. He's a flake, and could go the way of Julian Tavarez or Jaime Navarro easily, IMO.

Henry, with all due respect, Buerhle doesn't have to live up to a contract. He just has to be the pitcher he was in the second half of 2003 and the rest of his brief ML career to be a top-notch major-league pitcher. Too many people broke their ankles jumping off his bandwagon when he got off to that bad start last year. I think he and Loaiza will be just fine in 2004 - it's the 3/4/5 spots in the rotation that Sox fans have to be concerned about.

That 2005 lineup looks like crap.

The same point could be made about some of the Latin and Japanese names in MLB. If people don't follow a sport because they can't pronounce the players' names, that is ignorant, stupid and sad. ...not saying that is isn't true ( at least to some degree ), but it is STILL ignorant, stupid and sad...

The only shows I listen to are: ( all on AM1000 - the Snore sucks beyond belief ) Mike & Mike Dan Patrick a little bit of MJ&H - walking from the bus to my house - 5-10 minutes tops about 10-15 minutes of Todd Wright overnights - walking to the bus stop I really can't stand local sports radio - way too much Cub and Bear s*** and a stupid-ass hick-town attitude.

Yes to the Maggs deal ONLY if we keep Garciaparra. Maggs for a #3 or 4 pitcher is a bad idea. I am fine with any deal that gets E6 out of town, since he is too f***ing dumb to ever stop batting right-handed. That is, as long as he's the only one leaving in the trade - or if he's a throw-in in a deal to get a front-line pitcher.

Sorry, but I was never that much of a Carlton Fisk fan, so Rodriguez can be Pudge as far as I'm concerned. Didn't like Fisk with Boston and could take him or leave him when he was here. I was much more of a Luzinski and Baines guy during that era.

In my opinion, the NHL was doomed the second Radar tried to make it into the NBA. The NHL does not have the public support or TV deals to try to pretend it is a high-profile sport in the US. They overspent, overcharged and overmarketed, to a resounding yawn in the US. Unfortunately, Americans do not "Love This Game".

This is really f***in' sad news!!! Maggs was a tough defenseman who didn't back down from anyone. Off the ice, a very friendly guy who did a LOT for charity! to the man who fought 1,000 times and never won one!!! ( I mean that in the most respectful way possible, by the way )

The thing about Carl is, there's no way the Sox could have gotten him at that price. They offer arbitration, he takes it, he makes more than 3.5 per year for sure. He'll do well for Montreal - you think they're gonna stick him in RF to replace Vlad?
