I know what you're saying, Murcie, but I'd rather they deal a few "lesser pieces" for picks and keep Sharp if at all possible. Sharp gives them good secondary scoring depth and serves as quality insurance in case of injuries to the "top guys". I just think it's easier to replace guys like Sopel, Byfuglien, or even Barker and Versteeg with prospects than a proven NHL scorer like Sharp.

QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ Nov 24, 2009 -> 06:39 PM) There is a total dump fast food hole in the wall at Wabash and Adams called Chicken Planet where you can get a broiled half chicken with a side and toasted pita for $6.25. That would be my personal choice. Is that place really good? The chicken always looks greenish to me.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 24, 2009 -> 06:50 PM) I must be going for a record of being the highest voter for an entire list. Yep, I'm seeing your choices, and you MUST have been high....

QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Nov 24, 2009 -> 07:37 AM) Guitar: Yes, the Kid does indeed rock! In fact, I'd go so far as to say he RAWKZ!!!

Just thought it was interesting.

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 23, 2009 -> 03:47 PM) At Zorba's, the Greek joint I worked at in college, made killer jizz sauce, so most definitely yum. Couldn't bear to let this fact go untold, so Jim added "At" to turn this from a Z sentence to an A sentence.

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Nov 23, 2009 -> 12:51 PM) The real problem is that the ones who have good taste are rarely the attractive ones. A friend of mine says that a sure sign that a band sux is when hot chicks show up to their shows. One exception to that rule was The Afghan Whigs. They had the hottest women imaginable coming to their shows, and they were a great band.

Ozzfest, you didn't even let yourself be happy for a minute by listing the rotation. They're going to keep the Sox in a lot of games. I have some doubts about the 2010 White Sox, but I'm going to put those away for now and enjoy the 2009-2010 Blackhawks.

I'd go 80% for Russo, 20% for "I'm Gonna Control This b****". Not that Russo's any better, but a Russo-for-Hogan swap is a lateral move at best. -

This starts off sounding promising, but the bolded part spells BAD news for fans of TNA: Hulk Hogan appeared on SportFM in Perth, Australia to promote the Hulkamania tour this weekend and said he's going to listen to the TNA fans and give them what they want. The Hulkster said: "I'm not going to keep shoving a bunch of terrible, horrible, stale programming down their throats. (In TNA), I'm going to take the writers and tell them, 'Go get another job. Sit in the back. If I need you to write a jingle for a commercial, maybe we'll use you for that.'" -
Stay away from the Condiment Cops, order a dog the way you like it, and wolf it down.

Hey, Kesler, that "cheesy one" is one more than the nothing you got. If they gave points for "dominating the game", maybe you would have won. But they still count those silly little goals....even the cheesy ones....idiot.

QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Nov 23, 2009 -> 09:39 AM) They just lost Kronwall for 8 weeks. Hopefully they slow down a little bit with 4 of their forwards out. I doubt it, but I can hope. At some point it has to become too much.....doesn't it? Or do Zetterberg, Osgood and Datsyuk all have to go on the DL to derail them?

Every hot dog I eat has ketchup on it, SO THERE, Condiment Police!!! VIVA LA REVOLUCION!!!!
-
DBAHO......."fastly"??? It's nice to have one good team to talk about in this city.
-
Why people give a s*** what other people put on their hot dog has always befuddled me. If someone's not forcing you to eat it, why do you care?

I didn't bother sending in a list because much like independent voters in political elections, my choices had ZERO chance to win (or even show up on the Top 50 list), so I figured I was wasting my vote.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 22, 2009 -> 10:21 AM) I don't know about staying healthy, but he plays much stronger this year. I am LOVING watching him push through checks along the boards. He was regularly plastered along the boards against the Wings last postseason, so he must've taken it to heart when he started his offseason workouts.

If anyone's interested, Urge Overkill is playing House of Blues on New Year's Eve. Tickets are on sale now - 40 bucks each, 30 bucks each if purchased in a 4-pack. TicketBastard is selling them.

AIC was the most "metal" of the three, so their higher rank works for me.

QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Nov 19, 2009 -> 07:28 PM) Uh where is Reggies cause I need to be there for that... 21st & State. Just off I-55, a couple blocks away from the Cermak/Chinatown Red Line stop, easy to get to. http://www.reggieslive.com

QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Nov 20, 2009 -> 11:41 AM) I guess Kenny always gets his man... eventually. I have no problem with this. He can help this team defensively and hopefully show Alexei and others how defense is done. Soxtalk front page, November 20, 2018: "Chone Figgins close to signing with Sox"

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Nov 19, 2009 -> 04:04 PM) I'll be in Chicago from Dec. 7th-14th. Any good shows during that time? GWAR at House of Blues on the 7th. Cheap Trick at the Allstate Arena on the 10th. The Queers at Reggie's on December 11th. El Vez and Los Straitjackets at Double Door on the 11th. Marduk (Swedish black metal) at Reggie's on the 12th. That's all I could find that interested me in the least.

Looks like Hulk Hogan's "Giving Cash To Clunkers Stimulus Plan" has begun. Psycho Sid is saying he's joining TNA Wrestling. Oh, GOODY - another has-been. Vince must be trembling.
