I took my daughter to see Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs last weekend. We both laughed a lot. I'd recommend it.

QUOTE (striker62704 @ Sep 29, 2009 -> 07:41 AM) How did the Sox staff fix him? They found a little Matt Thornton Repair Ointment left in the bottom of the jar and hit DJ with it. -
QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Sep 28, 2009 -> 01:34 PM) Wow. Metallica covers Budgie. I didn't know that. Cool, I'll have to check it out. It's a good cover, but obviously very metal. It's from back before they started to suck. They also covered Breadfan.

Now Linebrink....he should only come into a game AFTER it's 10-5, not when he can make it 10-5. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 26, 2009 -> 07:06 PM) Oz is on the Tigers' payroll today. DeWayne isn't exactly a good hitter is he? He's a .444 pinch-hitter, so Ozzie at least put him in where he's had some success. -
Who would you rather see win the AL Central

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 25, 2009 -> 09:28 AM) Where's that gotten the Sox thus far? I don't think evaluating talent necessarily opposes trying to win games. -

I don't care who wins the division now, and the Sox shouldn't either. If they decide as an organization that taking a look at prospects is the best way to spend the final few games, then they should do that. They owe nothing to Minnesota, Detroit or anyone else. But remember that it goes both ways - if the Sox are in contention next year and some other team trots out a kid lineup against whoever the Sox are battling for the division or wild card, I won't b**** about it and the Sox shouldn't either. That's the way it goes. -
QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 24, 2009 -> 01:01 PM) Oh man, Wesley Willis! If only I'd taken my available chances to see Wesley Willis and the Fiasco before he passed away. Is it sad to admit that I own four of his albums? I don't think that's sad at all, but I also think one album would kind of cover it. Not a lot of musical growth from Wesley. And please.....it was The Wesley Willis Fiasco. No "and". He was a man of the people, he'd never minimize his band members like that!

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 23, 2009 -> 08:40 AM) My major gripe with STL is their really crappy crappy public transport. It can't be worse than the CTA. There's no way.

Other than the back-to-back walks to give up a run, I thought Hudson did very well. He certainly wasn't the problem last night.

QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 10:36 AM) You have gained instant "uber-coolness" on these boards in my eyes now. Not that you didn't have that status before, but now it is to the 1000th power. Ahhh, you're just saying that because you know where I got that disc from....or rather, WHO I got it from....

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 10:16 AM) Whoa. Hadnt heard anything about that. Did he just get hurt or is it from an old recurring injury?? This was on the Hawks' Facebook page: The following statement was issued today by Chicago Blackhawks Head Team Physician Dr. Michael Terry:“Adam Burish went into the boards on Sunday night in Minnesota and injured his right knee".

Phil Kessel traded to Toronto for their #1 and #2 picks in the 2010 draft and their #1 in the 2011 draft. Kessel then signed a 5-year, $27 million deal with the Leafs. 21 years old, 36 goals last season, but with a much better team. I'm sure he'll score for them, but scoring wasn't really their problem last year. They were 10th in the league in goals for, but dead last in goals against.

He's such a crybaby with a victim complex. He put himself in a position to be vilified right away by acting aloof and whining about umpires and writers, and his early numbers were all the ammo the Cub fans needed to turn on him. It's kind of too bad for them - he's probably their best bet for a #2 hitter, although that's not what they thought they were getting. Now they've painted themselves into a corner - he can't return, and no way will they get anything of value for him unless they eat a large chunk of his salary. How Jim Hendry keeps his job with all the albatross contracts he's given out is beyond me.

I don't know if this is true, but I read online that the kid told Dad, "come on, dude....bros before hoes".
