Old people fear change. I am an old person. Please keep it as is. Thank you. Get off my lawn.

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Aug 28, 2009 -> 01:59 AM) Guns n roses suck. Appetite For Destruction is still one of the best rock albums of all time, though.

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 27, 2009 -> 08:55 PM) I mean him failing a wellness test. Anyone who has watched Rey throughout the years knew he was on something. Biggest little man in the business. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 27, 2009 -> 02:46 PM) Heard there is a lot of BS propoganda in that book. I'd read it if I could find a cheap copy. I own the book and have read it three times. There's nothing in it that I found unbelievable. Amazon has used copies from $3.77. http://www.amazon.com/Death-WCW-WrestleCra...1801&sr=8-1 -

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Aug 27, 2009 -> 11:13 AM) Watched the Rise & Fall of WCW last night... It's good, but it kinda comes off as a cliff's notes version of what happened. The DVD makes it seems that everything was just dandy and then all of a sudden things went s***ty. They could of used another hour at least. But for someone who was really young or not even alive for some of that stuff, it's a good history lesson. As a nice companion piece, read "The Death of WCW" by Bryan Alvarez. It gives lots of examples of the horrible mismanagement, ego trips and ego clashes, foolish spending and loads of other mis-steps that led to wCw going down the drain. -

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 04:03 PM) I'm surprised, because I would think you would like him since he uses a lot more mat-wrestling techniques. IMO, he's probably the 3 best wrestlers not signed to TNA or WWE. If you have time check out any of the matches he had with Homicide in 06 or his matches with Takeshi Morishima I expected to like him because he seemed like that style of wrestler, but I don't know, he just falls flat to me. -
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 03:31 PM) Liverpool lost to Aston Villa 3-1 today. They haven't looked good to start this season. Liverpool had control of the ball most of the match, but a bad own-goal and a really nice header off a corner put them in a hole they couldn't climb out of. They got one back kind of late, but the following penalty kick goal really deflated them. They just mailed it in after that.

I'm still in, but honestly it's hard to get too gung-ho over this year's team.

I think Danielson did one jobber squash match for The E in the past. I'll reserve judgment on him until I see how they use him, but I haven't been that impressed by him in the little I've seen of ROH. Seems like just another guy to me. -
Awful.

Meh. Got a run, lost an out. Alexei in scoring position, now it's up to Kotsay.

He was right there on two heaters and fouled them off. Worrisome.

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 23, 2009 -> 02:51 PM) Why does Ramirez continue to take so many fastballs right down the plate? He got that one.

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 21, 2009 -> 07:38 PM) I hope I last 3 games. I'm only 30 but breaking down like I am 50. I completely understand. Here's how I knew I was done - every single necessary softball motion hurt. Bend over to field a grounder - back hurt. Throw the ball - shoulder hurt. Swing the bat - elbow hurt. Run - knee/foot hurt. Take away those four things and all that's left is drinking. I can still do that pretty well.
-
Nice! I went to a friend's tournament last weekend, and it was a weird feeling - I kept going back and forth between kind of wanting to grab a bat and not being interested at all. Overall, I was less interested than I thought I'd be. I hadn't been to a softball field since my disastrous 3-game "comeback attempt" last summer.

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Aug 20, 2009 -> 01:03 PM) I'll refute that, based on the name of the band at the time of their debut release. Well, he obviously "de-Stooged" himself after that, so if he renounced his Stoogeism, so do I.
