QUOTE (Sox72 @ Sep 20, 2009 -> 08:49 AM) wow.......you all made me feel good about this decision LOL, sorry about that! I just really hated going there. Never found many good restaurants, the weather was hot and humid with no breeze, the downtown area was dilapidated, and I only got to see old Busch Stadium, which was a toilet. I really do hope you have a good experience living there, though!

QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Sep 20, 2009 -> 06:58 AM) I took you for a huge Nelly fan...I guess not. My company softball team would go to St. Louis for a tournament every year in late August. I imagine Hell is probably a lot like late-August St. Louis. The only things I like at all about St. Louis are the Cardinals and the Blues, and they'd both be well-served to move away.

There is nothing of value in St. Louis.

NO, not a fan at all.

Now, this comes from a free site, so take it with a grain of salt: Jim Cornette has reportedly been let go by TNA for "acting unprofessionally" backstage, especially when dealing with Vince Russo: http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/tna/4126.html This line cracked me up, referring to Russo: "Cornette directed his anger toward the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion during a production meeting calling for more focus on Eric Young on television." -

Very solid move. Class.

I like the bunting they put up come playoff time.

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Sep 14, 2009 -> 03:31 PM) Jim Carroll now among "People Who Died." Jim, I miss you more than all the others.....and I SALUTE YOU, brother!

Yeah, unless there's some legitimate worry of re-injury if he pitches (beyond the general "anything can happen" scenario), then it makes no sense to rest him for next year. He'll have time to rest after the season.

Speaking of Punk, I REALLY hope they don't take the belt off him yet. He's doing a great job as champ right now, and it would be a shame to have the boring-ass Undertaker as champ again. The title adds to Punk's character, it adds nothing to Taker's. -
QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Sep 11, 2009 -> 03:37 PM) Bob Arum gave an interview to Ariel Helwani of MMA Fanhouse. Here are the highlights.... -MMA is a sport for skinheads by skinheads. -The guys roll around on the ground like homosexuals. -The blacks don't buy pay per view. (My favorite) Spoken like a true dinosaur/ostrich.

Never doubt CM Punk, people. That's the lesson in all of this. -
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 11, 2009 -> 10:15 AM) Frank Thomas: 2 spots better than Jay Cutler. Well, sure! I mean, while Thomas was arguably the most-feared hitter in baseball for 7 years, and was, again "arguably" (although I certainly wouldn't argue it) the greatest offensive force in White Sox history..... ....Jay Cutler's ALMOST played a regular-season game for the Bears! That sounds like a two-spot difference to me. Asinine.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 10, 2009 -> 08:56 AM) You must not ride on public transit here. They were saying they'd add shuttle buses. Shuttle buses?! Rush hour is regularly a clusterf***. Add a million plus to the current system and you get complete failure. Add a single drop of rain and the world stage will see just how incompetent the CTA is. Can't Travel Anywhere

QUOTE (hogan873 @ Sep 9, 2009 -> 02:08 PM) Perusing this thread I laughed, cringed, frowned, and even belched. If we were to boil down all of the comments and then run the residue through a colander we would come up with this: Joe has always played hard, was above average defensively, below average offensively, and has been plagued by back problems. But the thing that will rise to the top for most of us was that he did some magical things for us in 2005. And for that, we are eternally grateful. I mostly belched. But I always belch, so I'm not sure if it reflects on this discussion.

QUOTE (longshot7 @ Sep 9, 2009 -> 11:40 AM) You really shouldn't read the ripoff wrestling news sites, cause they don't have the reporters the big ones do. Mike Johnson of PWInsider posted this yesterday: "The following was issued to PWInsider.com today in regard to rumors that have been running rampant regarding former TNA star Angel "Angelina Love" Williams, none of which have been reported on this website: My name is Michael Klyzub of MJM Entertainment, the representative of Angel Williams. Both myself and my client have been bombarded with “News” stories and rumors concerning her situation from friends and fans alike, all or partially linked to your content. With respect to that I would like to take this time to clarify our present situation and I trust you will send this message along to your subscribers/readers. As per usual, stories found on the internet have been grossly over stated and misinformed. Effective Thursday September 3, Angel Williams performing as Angelina Love in TNA had parted ways with the company. This separation was based purely on a miscommunication of Angel Williams' present Visa Status. This in no way has anything to do with Contract Disputes or trouble with the office as has been reported. I want to stress the fact that once this Visa issue is cleaned up Angel is welcomed back to TNA Wrestling with open arms. At this time I cannot and will not address any of the other rumors that are circulating with regards to the type of Visa issues, concerns of gaining employment with the competition nor will I address any other rumors. I will say that most of what is on the internet is inaccurate and that the fans should rest assured that Angel Williams the performer will be returning to the ring in no time at all. We greatly appreciate all the fan support and look forward to having this issue resolved shortly. Thank you one and all. ~Michael Klyzub MJM Entertainment As we initially reported here on the website, Williams' release was due to a visa issue that led to the company not being able to use her. Since the responsibility for taking care of the issue was Williams' responsibility, the company opted to release her but as I reported, there was no heat towards her as much as there was disappointment over the situation. As I initially reported, if and when the visa issue is resolved, TNA sources indicated they were open to her return to the company. A lot of speculation and incorrect reports (some credited to this website) have popped up in the last few days. All I can say is that unless you've seen us write it here on PWInsider.com, put no credence into whatever is credited to this website. If you've seen it on this website, we stand by what was written." There's no 10-year-ban. She'll be back soon. There was this word in the article I posted. The word was "possibly". Possibly means it could happen under certain circumstances, but is not a certainty to occur. There was nothing stating any definite 10-year ban. There was also nothing in the item I posted talking about any problem with the front office. There was also nothing in her rep's statement flat-out denying the possibility of a ban, either - he just dismissed the talk as "rumors" with nothing of substance to dismiss the rumors. I'm sure Williams' rep would run to the big, big site if there was a definite ban. It's his job to place his client in the best possible light. I do admit, I'm impressed by the BIG site you quoted. Its size is imposing, and I bet it can beat up "my" little site. The day I pay for internet wrestling news is the day I seek help. -

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 6, 2009 -> 09:48 PM) Hot chicks just have a certain happiness and confidence to their voice, it's hard to describe. Easier to be happy and confident when guys are constantly kissing your ass, maybe?
