  1. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 7, 2009 -> 10:40 AM) His female assistant was taller than he was. And I must confess, I think she was the one that caused me to glance in the first place. I bet he wrecks dat like da runway at Meigs Field, yo!
  2. QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Aug 7, 2009 -> 09:02 AM) I also think the Red Wings jersey on Cameron actually fits perfectly with the character. It never occured to be before, but it helps show how "lost" he is, how misguided he really is. Or that he just liked Gordie Howe, one of the true greats to ever lace 'em up.
  3. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 6, 2009 -> 08:07 PM) Can't be worse than out of a bottle though. Eh, I don't mind Corona. It was on sale and I thought I was going to be tailgating on Saturday, so I grabbed a 12'er. It's decent for a watery beer - certainly better to me than Budweiser products. I normally drink Miller when I can't get Hacker-Pschorr, so I'm well-versed in the ways of the watery beer.
  4. Corona tastes very different out of a can.
  5. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 6, 2009 -> 01:31 PM) So Steven Tyler fell off the stage the other night and had to be taken to the hospital. I hope he's ok, but man I sure hope that puts an end to his 'dancing'. Those are some of the goofiest moves and they were never cool, even when he was young. C'mon, man, he was just Livin' On The Edge of the stage.
  6. I'll be at the Sox/Injuns game but my plans to make the softball game (as a spectator) fell through. Unlucky for YOU.
  7. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 6, 2009 -> 09:04 AM) Man, his arm must be about to fall off. He's been throwing from the mound "right now" for like a week. Pitch counts are over-rated.
  8. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Aug 5, 2009 -> 02:37 PM) Yeah we finally got most of the women to stop using that damn aerosol hairspray... it'll fix it. Yeah, but now a Bon Jovi or Def Leppard crowd just doesn't look the same. Of course, that could be because of the mom jeans, too....
  9. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Aug 5, 2009 -> 03:58 PM) Jeff Francouer and Gordon Beckham are radically different players, with radically different approaches at the plate. Two compare both players against each other would be absurd. Oh really? they're both baseball players they're both dudes they both have an E in their surnames DISPUTE THAT!!!
  10. I bid you a fond adieu, oh League I Never Watched.
  11. Gordon Beckham = Next Statue at USCF? ...too early?...
  12. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Aug 3, 2009 -> 11:49 PM) You know it. I lost interest in tonight's show right after HHH's "cool" promo (not gonna lie, I did like the "Batista's always hurt" comment). Well, here's to hoping that the Miz gets a better deal on SD or ECW. Does that mean Miz isn't going to "SummerFest"? Way to know the name of the PPV, Piven.
  13. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Aug 3, 2009 -> 09:31 AM) It's funny how the Slayer thing was all primed to take off and then Bacon swooped in out of nowhere to dominate Bacon is an awful nickname.
  14. Happy Birthday, Pratt! [awaiting 7,000 word essay about the cake]
  15. When I tried to turn left onto Cicero Ave. - only to be blocked by a bunch of f***ing dumbasses who jammed themselves into the intersection while trying to turn onto the street I was on, which had a train crossing preventing anyone from going anywhere - this song didn't come on the radio, but it entered my mind: Slayer - I Hate You You are just a waste of sperm They way you look Makes my stomach turn The way you think Is no way at all God, you really think that you have balls I hate you ain't it true I hate you and everything you do You walk around like a f***ing dick And every time you're near You know I get real sick You're so stupid There's nothing in your head God, how I wish that you were dead I hate you ain't it true I hate you and everything you do
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 31, 2009 -> 12:24 PM) I'll say it, Impact is better than Raw. Lashley this week sounded decent on the mic. Also sounds like they told him to talk more deeper than his voice. I agree with you. For me it's SmackDown, Impact, Raw. I wouldn't say I was impressed with Lashley on the mic, but he was a little better than I expected. I was disappointed in Eric Young's promo - it started strong, but then he went into that weird haed-shaving thing and he started to ramble and lose focus. That World Elite thing has a chance to be decent as a mid-card heel group, but I'm a little concerned with the idea of two factions trying to "destroy TNA from within". Seems a bit much.
  17. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Jul 31, 2009 -> 09:04 AM) Agreed. It would be real, real dumb. Like failing to get offers out on a timely basis. A guy could get fired for doing stuff that dumb. I understand where you're going with that, but if they were recording conversations (either by tape or email) about circumventing the salary cap, that would be so much dumber than a clerical error that it's not even in the same stratosphere. Again, there's no proof that they did that, but those last tacked-on years of the contract certainly raise a red flag, which is why they're being looked at now.
  18. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jul 30, 2009 -> 11:31 PM) NHL investigating Hossa deal http://www.ottawasun.com/sports/hockey/200...0/10319706.html Even though it's fairly obvious that this was the intent of the cheap years tacked on at the end, I don't know how you prove that unless there are tapes or emails out there. Which would be INCREDIBLY stupid.
  19. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Jul 30, 2009 -> 10:49 PM) I guess that's a family issue. Family Jewels issue.
  20. I've been summoned four times, got chosen for a jury once, ended up being named foreman, and wanted to do an 11-person Three Stooges slap. I've met dumber people before and since, but not 11 of them in one room with my "freedom" in their hands. An open-and-shut simple trademark-infringement case took three days (one and a half days of testimony, one and a half days of deliberation). Frustrating doesn't begin to describe it.
  21. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 30, 2009 -> 02:51 PM) Pie is Owens on crack. He's much faster and a lot more power. If he could ever figure it out, he'd be a hell of a player. It's the "What If" factor that keeps Pie around. Teams keep waiting for him to figure it out, but in the meantime he's an ongoing disappointment. I'd rather keep Fields.
  22. Oh man, that's great! Just more proof that you really do have to be careful wherever you are - here he is, just shooting the s*** (some pun intended) and 15 or 20 years later it's on YouTube, set to music and auto-tuned to sound like he's singing.
  23. I'm celebrating by being perfect today.
  24. QUOTE (jhonnydanks @ Jul 30, 2009 -> 08:59 AM) you can be angry and negative or you can pour a stiff drink, relax, and see how it plays out. choice is yours. or you can sit back, relax, and strap it down. so we all have options here.
  25. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 11:19 AM) My mom has been bugging me for 15 years now for me to try getting on Jeopardy. She brings it up about 5 times each year. She just wants you out of the house. You go to play Jeopardy, she changes the locks.
