  1. Or he can express his opinion whenever he wants and tell you to kick rocks while doing so?
  2. Sogard puts those glasses on and that clubhouse starts thinking hes Einstein.
  3. They all fell for that doofus eric sogard and his dumb ass wife's anti vax classes. They're both very outspoken about the dangers of vaccines because they're both braindead.
  4. Yankees and astros making big moves. White Sox doing blah.
  5. lol I like Tepera. Don't still my Parkman cracks from last night, pal!
  6. I like Tepera, so don't take my post the wrong way. He's a solid mid-season grab and I trust him to be pretty solid. He's just had some luck to get his numbers this year, while he was a bit unlucky last year.
  7. LOL, escobar not my favorite player by any means; just my preferred power-first low OBP 2nd baseman since he has proven his power is legit. I have my doubts about Cesar's power being legit/sustainable, and if it's not he's not very good given his new approach.
  8. 11 walks in 11 innings at A+; those numbers you listed are at low A.
  9. Needed the Bullpen depth, so not bad. I predict many White Sox fans (mostly in-game thread fans) will not like Ryan Tepera though.
  10. The majority of posters seem to like the move, and the ones who don't (like me) are more upset at this being "the" move. Pilkington is meh but Cleveland does a heck of a job evaluating pitching which would be my only reservation with him. Weird for them to move a cheap regular too, imo.
  11. Not exactly how it works. I'm arguing his change in approach is not sustainable and when the fly balls stop going over the fence he'll be a replacement level player
  12. For what this team needs, I don't buy Hernandez power surge at all and he's done so while destroying his OBP. It's a disaster because it's the White Sox making a move just to make a move and settling for a guy. Escobar's track record of being this type of player is much longer. Hernandez has a few more balls not go over hte fence and he's trash.
  13. Yeah, I mentioned it improves the back end of their roster; that is indisputable. But I want to win a World Series and I wanted a player that could make an impact. I wanted a sure thing upgrade that is an exciting piece. I didn't want a guy who could feasibly get outplayed by Garcia in a smaller sample. If we wanted a power-first low-OBP 2nd baseman they should have gotten Escobar. It's just a disaster we didn't get Escobar if this was our direction.
  14. That's literally nothing in the world of defensive metrics. One full season is volatile and tough to draw any conclusions from let alone 200 innings
  15. The pop isn't sustainable either imo. If you wanted pop and a low obp should have gotten escobar.
  16. Because on a total package value basis this year they're similar players? One is on a 2.5 per 600 pace the other a 2.2 per 600 pace. In a sample of 70 games, we're talking about replacing just a guy with just another guy. Cesar has a 307 obp with a hr/fb rats 7% higher than his previous career high.
  17. Lol now we're doing ops vs teams above 500 for a guy with 300 pa's.
  18. We'll just agree to disagree. I don't think this is a big defensive upgrade at all.
  19. I dont care what we gave up, I care that this is a move that makes the bench depth deeper but does not guarantee an improvement to the starting group. And it's not a "very big upgrade" when from a total package value standpoint they've been similar players this year.
  20. Lol a deep dive into what? The Sox replaced leury garcia as their starting second baseman with cesar Hernandez. It's not something you can tell me is a for sure upgrade which is incredibly disappointing
  21. This is really the only decent angle is it gives them more depth. It makes their last man on roster a little better but the improvement to the starting grip is minimal at best.
  22. On a per PA basis, leury garcia and cesar Hernandez are nearly identical in worth this year. ROS you're talking a projected difference of like .1-.2 fWAR. Garcia was your second baseman when Robert came back. This is hardly an upgrade.
  23. I'm not a fan at all really. He's barely an upgrade over what we're throwing out there now
  24. White sox acquire guy who is barely better than guy they're playing lol
