I never really liked Martin and his stuff has taken a step back from last year. He might be a decent swing man but I don't think he establishes himself as a bonafide starter.

Barring injury, zero doubt in my mind smith is a legit mlb starter. A #3 possibly! My concern is I think they needed to find 2 starters out of this group and I think I'm out on the rest- even burke who I liked a bit to start the year. Without drastic changes to that fastball command he's done.

Hahn actually understood how to acquire top talent. His problem is he had no idea how to fill in the middle and/or develop depth. Really aggressive players will take some terrible swings. It's the non competitive abs that he needed to eliminate. The Sox have really ruined an incredibly talented player. He's the poster boy of the poor talent development of position players within this org.
