  1. I keep seeing this cited, but LaPorta is just another example as to why you shouldn't invest tier 1 picks on TE's. Sam was the 34th pick in the draft. Paying a premium for a TE when you're already paying a tight end is wild
  2. Vargas got a beer belly? Sheesh!
  3. That's OK. If he could actually be a 4, that's valuable. Pivetta just signed for 4 years 55 million. Problem is I don't think he's even a 5.
  4. Hagen smith can't throw strikes. I'm pretty worried about that guy. Schultz will be a dude though. Grant taylor >>>hagen imo
  5. I never really liked Martin and his stuff has taken a step back from last year. He might be a decent swing man but I don't think he establishes himself as a bonafide starter.
  6. Barring injury, zero doubt in my mind smith is a legit mlb starter. A #3 possibly! My concern is I think they needed to find 2 starters out of this group and I think I'm out on the rest- even burke who I liked a bit to start the year. Without drastic changes to that fastball command he's done.
  7. Still generating huge bat speed, but not sure how long it's in the zone for.
  8. Hahn actually understood how to acquire top talent. His problem is he had no idea how to fill in the middle and/or develop depth. Crazy to think the Sox could have Crochet, Sale, Cease, rodon and Chris bassitt in their rotation today if they simply spent money on their guys and developed position players.
  9. Caught looking the at bat before. He's in-between in a new way. He's unsure if he should attack or wait. Not good.
  10. What's funny is I've actually met and hung out with Getz on multiple occasions. He's an entertaining fun guy. In no way do I hate him personally. I hate him as the GM of a baseball team because he simply isn't qualified for the job. Nothing more to it.
  11. Flo Rida? Sox bringing artists who were last relevant when they were
  12. My guy Sosa Play everyday. Watch him learn.
  13. Really aggressive players will take some terrible swings. It's the non competitive abs that he needed to eliminate. The Sox have really ruined an incredibly talented player. He's the poster boy of the poor talent development of position players within this org.
  14. Always can depend on WestEddy to justify, in some way, the decisions made. Palacios shouldn't even be in the big leagues, but he's leading off. lol And to clarify, Robert has been terrible but at least his xWOBA is in the 41st percentile - guy should stop worrying about increasing his walks IMO - while Palacios is hitting and performing at his expected line.
  15. Dalbec at SS is hilarious. I love this team - I mean, i don't watch but I love looking at the absurdity of it all every day. The idea that they're starting Dalbec to get a bit more offensive production since the offense has been so bad is hilarious.... since the end of the 2021 season, he has an OPS under 600 lol
  16. Shane Smith pitching well enough to get himself traded. The white sox way.
  17. Well if this doesn't fit in nicely to the thread: https://blogs.fangraphs.com/by-meidroth-i-care-not-a-man-can-swing-but-once/ I'm beginning to worry the Sox believe this is a market gap... it's not.
  18. Yes, it's time in seat that's the problem.... not record-setting ineptitude.
  19. I actually like this at 100/120-1.
  20. It's why I always am a bit confused when people ask to name players the PD director should have been more successful with....
  21. Crazy how much he reminds me of Pedroia
  22. Garrett going to be upset about that walk for a while.
  23. It's means discussions have stopped for now.
  24. Glad you admitted to lying about both statements. What the end of the Hahn regime and whatever you want to call this Getz thing have taught me is there's always someone out there that'll support the unsupportable.
