I'll say this. Everyone is so hyper focused on when is Reinsdorf going to sell?!? When is Reinsdorf going to give up control?!? that they're missing what's really going on with the Ishbia purchase.

They move because they offered them a better deal. Billionaires don't become billionaires from making bad deals.

I think they'll get some state funding but it won't be nearly enough so yes the question becomes will Ishbia provide the rest of the funds for a stadium in Chicago or take a free stadium in Nashville.

Bauer walked 3 in a couple innings. Not ideal but not awful. The stuff was obviously outrageous. His history is going to hurt him with a lot of teams but I think someone is gonna pay him. The ceiling is just too high.

Here's my NIck Maton story. Freshman year he went to Eastern Il then transfered to Lincoln Land JC. It was late in the spring and we started hearing whispers that guys were going in to see him. A JC hitter from the north is a low priority so I wasn't too worried about it. I was in Peoria watching Bradley on a sunday afternoon and saw Lincoln Land was playing a DH against Heartland in Bloomington (about 30 min away). I figured I could get there for game 2 so I headed over after Bradley finished up. I got there in time to see two AB's. He saw 8 pitches and didn't take the bat off his shoulder and didn't get a ball hit to him at SS. That was my look at Nick Maton. Gotta say I was more than a little surprised when he was drafted in the 7th round. Good pick by the Phillies.

I'm way more surprised by the strike throwing than the velo spike. He was a disaster last year. A lot of teams weren't at his first game. They're running in there now.

That's what I said about him back in August. He's had a velo spike and he's throwing strikes which is pretty extraordinary. He's pitching today in Georgia in front of no less than 100 scouts. Hopefully he continues to throw strikes.

I'm in a HR pool and I wrote in Devers. I watched their game the other night and he looked completely lost at the plate and the announcers were saying how much he's struggling with the move to DH. He have until April 1 so I swapped him for Bregman. It's a long season but that doesn't look like a situation that's going to end well.

He's really bad at executing a game plan. He forgets scouting reports and calls for the wrong pitches at the wrong time.

A Corey Lee trade needs to happen soon.
