  1. Dylan Crews wins the Golden Spikes award. Duh
  2. Go get em, Men! https://apnews.com/article/mlb-scouts-lawsuit-age-discrimination-2e6c027ed3ae6b58f21806d966471fc2
  3. Skenes vs Lowder tonight. The draft should be in Omaha the days before the CWS starts but dumbfuck Manfred just doesn't get it and he never will.
  4. I love Touki. He can spin the living crap out of a breaking ball he just hasn't been able to throw consistent strikes and I have zero confidence he's going to figure it out with these bunch of goofs.
  5. Are we keeping track of all the short-sighted mistakes Hahn has made this year?
  6. Josh Jung was a college corner and he's damn good and the likely rookie of the year so it makes some sense. Gonzalez stinks. I wouldn't take him in the first round. Shaw is another undersized college utility player with a max effort swing. I put him and Tommy Troy in the Keston Hiura, Nick Madrigal, Nick Gonzalez, Will Wilson, Justin Foscue, Nick Loftin, Jace Jung bucket of overdrafted college hitters whose swings don't translate to the next level. Miller hardly played this spring because of a hand injury so they had very few quality looks to draft him that high. Besides there's not much difference between him and Morales except Morales is a much better athlete and has a longer history of performance. I said I would be disappointed if they passed on one of the HS SS (Houck, Nimmala, McGonigale) for an underslot college hitter but I understand why they would do it. In this draft the third tier could have as many as 15 players in it. If they have all these guys evaluated the same they may as well take the cheapest one which is likely a college hitter and then get a dudes in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. That strategy isn't hard either.
  7. Too late. Reinsdorf sat on his hands and missed his opportunity. He deserves Hahn setting the organization even further back after this draft/trade deadline.
  8. Depending how the board falls I think under slotting a college bat is the way they go. I'm good with it so long as they don't pass on one of the HS SS.
  9. Say what you want about LaRussa but Reinsdorf was 100% correct in hiring a non-Rick Hahn guy as manager.
  10. Their 13th round first baseman is out hitting Vaughn too. Honest to god it's almost impossible to F this thing up more than Hahn.
  11. Josh Jung is a heck of a player. A college 3B who the "experts" didn't think would stay at 3B.
  12. It's a bold strategy Cotton, lets see if it pays off for em.
  13. Another poor outing from Dollander. I have no idea who is going to pop this guy next month.
  14. Foscue is a realistic target as he's blocked seven ways to sunday in the Rangers org but he's just not very good. He's most likely a left fielder and unlikely to hit enough to be a regular out there. The guy I would like to see them target though it's probably unrealistic is Trey Sweeney. He's a lock to stay at SS and should hit for plus power during his prime years. Too bad Reinsdorf didn' fire dopey Hahn when he had the chance. Who knows what type of player he's going to target in these trades but the one thing we know from a long history of dreadful decision making is it will be the wrong players.
  15. They just can't help themselves. It's what they do.
  16. Crochet and I wouldn't have f'd him up by rushing him to the big league bullpen.
  17. I'd be out. Too risky especially with so many other good options available.
  18. Jerry thinks he's losing his ass. He's not gonna to keep a 10 game under .500 team together just because of the god awful division. He's cutting bait.
