Detroit announcers were discussing the young pitcher they just brought into the game. Said he had good stuff but didn't like his pace. That has always been a big bugaboo for me. If a pitcher is lousy...at least be lousy quickly. Why prolong the agony.

You could use a little more patience. Instant gratification doesn't work well for the Chicago Sports fan.

The Detroit announcers have been very positive of Sanchez skills. Discussed Ricky calling Sanchez the best baseball mind on the club. I would love to keep Sanchez for something like 3 million.

I'm trying to make a point that if you overpay someplace … something else has to give. I hope the Sox spend 170 million additionally. Still can't have every toy available. RH will have choices to make no matter what the budget.

No matter which team you root for...there are a maximum number of dollars available to improve the team. If you choose to offer huge contracts to several players like lets say Cole, Strasburg and Grandal...you might need Engel or Garcia in RF. Maximum utilization of minimal resources.

Amen! Focus on the stuff we need...not the parts that aren't broken.
