Free Agency - How confident are you?
Good point. When I make negative remarks about Ricky...they are my way of taking out my frustration with his bunting and lineup propensities. I like Ricky as a person.

Not much point in spending lots of time hating on the team you claim to love.

This team has a lot of good hitters. I see Robert in a mid order role...but similar to Moncada any of the top 3 spots are not unreasonable. I think a lineup of Anderson, Madrigal, Robert, Moncada, Eloy and Abreu as 1through 6 would have early leads in lots of games. If we sign Grandal and Ozuna in the offseason you can just pull names out of a hat since that lineup would just be sick.?

After many posters mentioned Nimmo I looked into him a bit since I didn't know much about him. He's growing on me as a possibility.

Yes...that is true.

Madrigal fits at leadoff, second in the order or #9. My preference is #2 because he can take pitches for lead off man steals, hit behind the runner, work walks and actually knows how to bunt (Ricky requirement.)

I find it annoying. A little of that goes a long way.

With Stone talking up Yolmer as the best defensive 2nd baseman in either league...probably thinking of trade to get something for him.

We already have had a number of warning track flyouts.

Watching for homers and Anderson hits. This doesn't look like a pitching masterpiece.

Joc Pederson will probably fit the bill better than anyone else. He and Grandal would greatly improve the offense. I like Calhoun better than most here especially if money saved on RF is turned into an upgraded starter. Without knowing what Jerry is willing to spend...I have a tendency to be to cheap to buy the Ozuna model. Assuming RH has a budget...pitching has to get the majority of attention. Even modest upgrades at RF & DH is tons of improvement over 2019.
