In hindsight...not retaining Avi was a mistake.

No reason not to be optimistic. We have a great nucleus and the team needs are gettable over the offseason.

Calhoun looks like Babe Ruth compared to who we have been playing in RF. He's fine if the starting pitchers and DH acquired are top notch.

Fine with me if Cole is where the extra money saved gets spent.

Jerry knows that at age 83 the future is now.

These guys really sound worth exploring. Nice find.

I believe Hibbard was referring to offensive players...and his primary point is that Jose has been better "decent." You are correct that Ventura was omitted from his original recollection of our elite long term hitters.

We are about to embark on probably the best decade in Sox history. ?

Not easy to win with half a lineup.

He might keep a job but not the job.

Well said. This explains clearly why a 1 year contract with an option would be ideal.

You must be psychic to see into the future like that.

I think you are right on the money with this post.

JR doesn't whack his loyalist employees. He promotes them.

Jose doesn't think this game is over yet.

Well...that didn't take long.

Never a doubt!

If he is going to make a living as a reliever he better learn.

Carson and walks are a bad combination.

Why does Carson coming into the game not comfort me?

Ruiz looking good. Be nice if someone like him found their way to competence.

This game is like watching a rerun of a spring training game. Boring!

We're only trailing by 3 runs. It feels like 10.

Our pitchers pitch better when McCann is catching them.

Engel show off his wears. Speed is a very good tool.
