That is a heck of a stat isn't it. Need some swing and miss in your arsenal.

When Lopez pitches slow and tentative the roof falls in.

Nice to play in front of a good crowd.

What options does Renteria have with Yonder Alonso?
Any lineup without Alonso works for me. I do think the 5 spot is good for Eloy at this point.

Possible long-term SP trade targets for 2019 TDL?
Both interesting names. Any idea of what the asking price might be?

Rick Hahn and his Trades
I like that trade even now that Avi is gone. We won it.

Getting some of that pitching now will help keep the momentum. No reason not to enjoy some wins while we wait for next year. Wining helps create the atmosphere you need to compete long haul.

Haven't you heard...he's a candidate for Manager Of The Year.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
I agree that keeping the good players is the way to go. We all agree the young core players are off the table. Balta's stipulation of getting overpaid is of course reasonable when discussing Abreu and Colome because of limited time left on contracts and careers. I never what to be left empty handed when a good player leaves. If the FO feels Abreu and Colome will have the same value next year at this time then hang on to them. I am personally more comfortable extending these type of players for the term they will be useful pieces. In both Colome's & Abreu's case probably a two year extension is probably adequate. If player and team can not agree on terms for the extension I definitely trade them. No way do you want to come away empty handed. When a decision to trade a player is made...better a year to early than a year to late.

Keep playing like last night and the crowds will continue to grow. Crowds love lots of hits and the long ball.

And pitch with pace and aggression.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
The term five tool player is generally reserved for Trout type players. I am saying Cordell has all five tool set abilities but they are not fully developed. Avi was frequently referred to in this same manner. Avi's hit tools and arm were better developed than his fielding. Cordell is developed in fielding but needs more work in the hitting department. Konerko for example had NO run tool. Thomas had No arm. Palka has the power tool but lacks all others.

Not saying he's the answer to our right field problem at this time. Simply said I like him and he needs development time.

The best possible line up with the current roster
This is really a fun exercise when you plug Robert and Madrigal into the equation.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
I am saying that Colome is a better product. For the record...I like Cordell. Needs some playing time. Five tool player but none of the tools are elite.

I don't disagree but we are at the point of trying to put the final pieces of the puzzle together. Two pitchers and a right fielder have to come from someplace.

Same sells pitch...different product.

You only need one team that views them as the answer to their late innings problem. I need to be over compensated. Actually RH has been very good in being over compensated in trades where he has something to sell.

Rick Hahn and his Trades
We shall see. If a 150 is what's offered it will be rejected enthusiastically.

A fair and balanced soliloquy about Jose Abreu, by ron
Abreu and McCann will both improve as Eloy protects them instead of an automatic out in Alonso.
-
Rick Hahn and his Trades
I predict RH will turn Colome into a better player than Narvaez was/is.

I need a quality closer more than a non exciting prospect.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
I thought of him but that would just be wrong to trade someone good to get him back.

Does one of them have a spare right fielder hanging around?
