That is total opposite of what the Scriptures themselves teach. My friend, read the Scriptures themselves, nothing says what you say, the Christian writings are totally dependent on what lay before and there is no superceding, there is only a new fulfillment wiothout aborgating he prior, read Paul for Christ's sake, really read it for Christ's sake. In that so much of what you say is a riff on the non-trained teacher of Sunday School message as opposed to a systematic study of the Scriptures, and you respond with insults, there is no grounds to dialogue with you. But baptized believer to baptized believer, I love you in the Name of Chirst and rejoice that we shall dance together with the God of all Dance in the realm which lays beyond. That is not to criticise you. If it works for you, go your way with God's blessings. When you try to univeralize your sectarian beliefs, be wary you do not commit an offense against the ecumenicty of the Church. Be happy with where you are at and stop laying your burdens on others for the weight of the Gospels is not with you. But God is with you as the One who loves you in Grace and I embrace you as my fellow believer and pray for love and joy to you and your spouse and all your family!!!!

The original question: how does Grifey look now... my answer: like a piece of s***. Does my answer depend on whether we sweep or are swept by the Blue Jays? Not in the least. No one on the Sox is as undependable as Mr. DL. Griffey is a person with a bad attitude and a poor team ethic and horribly injury prone and there is not a thing that he would add to the Sox but a lot he would subtract from the Sox. If we lost every game the rest of the season, there is still no way in hell we would be better with Grifffey in a Sox uniform.

Jugs, you keep pointing to cultural wars as having something to do with personal "morality." If you basing anything on he Scriptures, you are very wrong. Essentiallly the Scriptures don't give a s*** about so-called personal morality. God does care deeply about public justice, mercy, and humility. Rad any or all of the 8th century prophets. The divorce rate means nothing to God. Consider that in 66 books of Scripture (for Christians, 39 for Jews) God never once mentions the divorce rate. Was God sleeping? Or not as smart as you? But God does care about justice and economic exploitation of the poor. And if you believe Scriptures, God condemned both (Northern) Israel and (Southern Israel) Judah for trusting in military might and using weapons of war. Read your Scriptures. In other words, God don't give a damn about whether you beat off to porn tonight or have oral sex 5 times overs with your same sex lover or are no married to your opposite gender lover or say "s***" or "f***" or get the "porn video of the month" or smoke a little weed or do a little nose candy. God will care if you are treating you treating your partner and even more your society with injustice or justice. God does care far more highly about a society that resorts to military usage, or commits sin against the naked and the prisoners, and does not regard as equal the rights of the alien. Hey - it is in the Bible, not my words. Go ahead again and read the Magnificat. What did Mary speaking for God proclaim? That the rich would be sent away empty. (Can you justify that with current US economic policy? I can't.) The poor will be filled with good things. (Can you justify that with current US economic policy? I can't.) In other words, God doesn't give a damn about who f***s who or a person's private life as long as a person - and far much more a society - lives in justice. Read Micah and Isaiah and find the one passage repeated in both words of the prophets. And read all of the prohpets. In other words, in my own interpretation of the Scriptures as God has given me by the Spirit to understand... the sin of America against God is is everything that you fail to see and not in anything you have spoken of. The basis of "morality" that you have spoken of is nothing more, to me, as I have read it, than the phobias of the uptight. Read Song of Songs and dare criticise the joy of sex. Or Ecclesiates and tell me who spoke of enjoying the wine and pleasures you have and loving the physical joys you may have in this life. (Hint: the answer is spell "G-O-D.") And read the Scriptures and tell me that "hedoism" and such are anything more than nonGod inspired categories but justice and mercy are everything with which God is concerned.

Those are badly mixed metaphors and my mind is stunned. I have lived in farm country for many year now and never seen steam rolled hay! I hate haying though. I am very good at it but I hate it. Nobody much does it anymore manually like they used to. But no one gets up for it.

actually I have know it for a while - look at who else is 10,000+ and you'll see why I was able to figure it out really easily - the secret password comes from the Opposite of Sex as said by Chistina Ricci:

I'll agree -- never predict too much never assume we "will" do anything never get too high after any win never get to low after any loss

I worked at Catholic Family Services with families with children in foster care. One client, Amy, was a person who you just knew would never pull it together. Her son S was very special to me, he was very afraid of his mother's boyfriend and everytime I transported S to visits he would tell me of how mom's bf beat the s*** out of her and him and the baby. We worked hard to give S a sense of a normal life. I took him to the Air Zoo and other places like an A&W root beer stand he had never been, to experience some life as a regular kid does. And what was tough knowing that despite S's best wishes his mother Amy was never going to get off the drugs and get it together, that she would never be a mother to him. I liked Amy though, she was a nice person with a huge weakness she could not control. The Agency closed the foster care department and the clients transferred to other positions and I was out of a job. That was in 95. Last time I saw S. I saw Amy once after that, she was at a crack house across the street from where I lived and I saw everyone come and go. I moved from Kalamazoo in 1997 (and wish to hell I had stayed but that is another story). I still get the Kalamazoo paper. The news had been of an unidentified body found in the Asylum Lake area (an area that people go for sex and drugs) so decomposed they didn't know if it were male or female. They knew it was a homicde. Right after Friends I picked up the Kazoo paper and they identified the body. Amy. No news in the paper about where S is, who would now be about 16. Called some of the other case workers with whom I worked. One of our clients now works as a waitress (glad she is actually working). Got some other news of others. And my heart is going out towards S, that little boy whose hand I used to hold because he was so scared of the mother's boyfriend and had been beaten him so much, every tiime we walked from the car to a building and back again he was afraid that man was behind every tree and would hurt him. Reminds me of how many of my problems are trivial. And I cry for S,where ever he is, having lost the mother he never had.

Myself, I loved Friends and cried it is over, The final show was very well written I thought and classy finish. Others may mock, but I found something that made me laugh in every show and it was fun. I'll be there for you cuz you're there for me too.

sure - but I never get a toaster oven

I rather agree with Rex here - sell the ads on the walls, here, there, anywhere, except on the field and uniforms, would be my stance
-
he is getting the saves and is very aware he has a problem so its fine by me

this team seems as lively as the 2000 team - and without a Detroit brawl to stir them up. I love it that they are believing in themselves. Also reminds me of 93 whenever we were two runs behind, Pacoriek would crack that we got them right where we want them and we did!

I agree - but do we need one? What do define as an Ace? Can it be done without the unhelpul "a No. 1" To me we need a stopper, the guy who gets the win when you've had a few loses - but I am not sure what an ace is for you all so please define the term.
