DW pitched really well -- 2 ER's on 3 hits 2 or more K's -- 4 2-3IP Vic Darensburg gave up the game -- in his 1-3 of an inning pitched -- Cotts looked good but took the loss on his only hit allowed -- He hat at least 4k's and no walks, though he did have one HBP, which turned unto the winning run after a steal and a WP...3 IP Rowand, Gload and Sweeney all looked good... Zambrano pitched 5 innings threw 80 pitches gave up 8 hits ... TO OUT B TEAM

I'm beginning to think 94's avatar is a self portrait.

Just to increase the length of this thread --- It's nearing Hot chick length -- I've beena fan of the big ten my whole life... But the level of basketball being played there this season can't even come close to compare with the ACC... I'm really enjoying the ACC tourney so far, even though I couldn't give two s***s abuot who wins... /useless post.... 5 minutes til sox game

67,630,052 Fans visited a major league stadium last season... Of that numer, NONE were killed by batted balls or anything related to the play on the field. To call attending a baseball game a dangerous activity is f***ing ridiculous. Comparing it to dangling your own child infront of wild animal is asinine. Is there a risk involved? sure. But it's far less than your chance of getting struck by lightning. Should Infants not be allowed outside because they might get hit by lightning? ---------------------- How many infants die becuase thier parent don't operate thier car seats properly? How many die because of other accidents, strollers, high chairs, shopping carts, plastic bags, etc.? If you're such a child safety advocate you should spend less time worrying about something that has such a remote chance of happening, and more on something that is a legitimate risk. like window blind cords, chocking hazards, etc.

I didn't make 'em.... But they sure are funny....

League #2 official thread
Gene Honda Civic replied to Gene Honda Civic's topic in PTC/Contest/Fantasy Board
NOTE: Anyone who offers me a on-sided trade, in my favor, shall be the recipient of on "officially licenced, Numbered, and signed, The Cheat original sig". In a related note -- Willie, Ribbie, & Soxnbears, I'm makin' changes to your sigs.... ------------------------------------ Seriously though --- I was thinking we could make this season more interesting... I'll put this out there --- Anyone who beats my team, while going H2H, wins an original "The Cheat".... That's my side of the bet ---- Your end is, in the event that I beat you H2H, you agree to display a signature of my making for the span of one month. This "signature" will no doubt be lame, and will likely feature something you will be ashamed to have attached to all your posts. (think doug minkiewicjdslfkdlkjsf) -
Images from todays game. Uribe One of those 3 outs in the endless sixth inning was at the plate.

Tait is officially a Bear!
Gene Honda Civic replied to CWSGuy406's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Love affair. No. But the greater picture is one of two teams in completely different salary cap situations. The Bears with 10's of MIllions of dollars available, and the chiefs with around 5mil, are hardly comparable. If the bears were forced to lose a player because thier salary demands would be too much, I'd expect a simillar release. The contracts is front-loaded too, so it's not like he is making 11.5 MIL a year... That is just this season, for the rest of his contract, he'll make significantly less, a much more reasonable number. -
Me thinks many on this site will miss the above references.... Sigh.... Youth.

5 more hours for KC to match Tait's offer sheet....
-
I don't really like him on the starting staff either, but I think he probably only pitched 4 innings today --- in which he would have given up 2 runs -- even if he pitched 5, he would have only given up 2 runs...

The game thread may be a little sorry today, but I'm sure we'll get wuite a postgame recap... Soxtalk's very own, Jason "future GM" Gage, is scouting the game for us.

Story about my team's loss in District Finals
Gene Honda Civic replied to Heads22's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Don't Worry... Schaumburg will get it handed to them for the 3rd time by Hoffman Estates.... That sectional was easily the best in the State. -
Just by process of elimination I've got to believe it's Garland or Shoenwiess... We've seen Buerhle Loiza and Wright the past 2 days.... I think GRilli was the day before that... I'd put my money on Garland
