  1. Jerry likes it so much Hahn’s extension is assured. Can’t wait for the 2030 teardown.
  2. Any relation to Man Soo Lee? Not that Lee is a common name or anything. One of my favorites from the 2005 team. Really liking this acquisition. Thanks for the articles!
  3. Half of elected DC consists of red and blue team people you describe above. Jerry can last a very long time. See Chicago Bears for more info.
  4. Digging back into the Baseball Decision, the original report that Jim Foster was fired made by NU AD Derrick "Women are Man's Greatest Distraction" Gragg turns out to be false. Perhaps a woman was walking by when he made the statement, distracting him from the truth. OG Campus Newspaper Report: https://www.mlive.com/sports/2023/07/northwestern-fires-baseball-coach-jim-foster-amid-bullying-allegations.html NU AD 7/13 AD Derrick Gragg's statement: https://nusports.com/news/2023/7/13/northwestern-baseball-announces-leadership-change.aspx University President Michael Schill claims today Jim Foster was not fired, but rather is serving at least single secret "indefinite suspension", well secret until Thursday. The President and AD need to be shitcanned today, if not sooner. PS - Rocky Wirtz served on the Northwestern Board of Trustees until Tuesday. https://www.adminplan.northwestern.edu/board-of-trustees/trustee/ W. Rockwell Wirtz President Wirtz Corporation
  5. Position Player fWAR 4.9 (27th) - Robert makes up 4.0 of the 4.9, Pitcher fWAR 6.4 (25th) - Lucas makes up 1.5 of the 6.4, Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose Nothin', that's all Rick Hahn left me..... - Kris Kristofferson, Fred L. Foster & South Side Hit Men
  6. Wednesday night brawl in Suites. Please end these interleague games which cater to the lowest common denominator. After the video incident one guy was jumped by two others in the bathroom and was hospitalized. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/mlb/article-12345071/Chicago-Cubs-White-Sox-fans-brawl-suite-one-spectator-taken-hospital-ganged-bathroom.html Where is Jerry when you really need him? More importantly, where is Steve and other security?
  7. Really the whole AL Central plus Oakland. Detroit (16-16) is the lone AL Central team not under .500 in interleague.
  8. Post game scoring change: Colas charged with his third error. https://www.mlb.com/gameday/guardians-vs-white-sox/2023/07/27/717233/final/box Only good outcome today is Cleveland gained ground vs. Minnesota, and the Sox gained ground toward a Top 3 Lottery Pick. .394 White Sox .392 Colorado .279 Kansas City .269 Oakland Think I'm backing off following the team after this one, will check back post deadline and then at year end to see if Hahn or others are s%*# can. The opposite of love is not hate, it's apathy, which is what Hahn, Jerry et all have earned after what they have done to this franchise. Adios amigos!
  9. The lineup the last day the Sox finished the day 22 games under .500. June 17, 2018: Detroit (36-37) 3 at Chicago (24-46) 1 SS T. Anderson (.729 OPS) 3B Y. Sanchez (.730) C K. Smith (.912) 1B M. Davidson (.835) DH D. Palka (.765) CF A. Engel (.572) 2B Y. Moncada (.693) RF T. Thompson (.376) LF C. Tilson (.619) SP James Shields (4.63) RPs L. Avilan, C. Volstad & H. Santiago Attendance: 26,746
  10. I agree there are many times when reactions go overboard, but when there is severe abuse of young adults or children, this is not a serious person you want overseeing a large department, especially at this stage. Think everyone there should go, just like everyone should have been fired overseeing Penn State, Micnigan State and all the other Big Ten schools with a systemic pervasive decades long rape issues and other forms of widespread abuse which appears to be the case here. If he is changing your oil, cutting trees, or sitting in a cube updating spreadsheets, his statements or opinions are not having an impact on others.
  11. Would you return as a season ticket holder if they restore the perks, will you wait until they finally field a good team, or are you done for good or at least until there is a new owner and or FO?
  12. There is not a single player I wouldn't deal for something useful beyond Robert and Cease, and only because he will f*** that up. The others don't matter as much.
  13. Yet another game the Sox are playing shorthanded (25 Active players, less anyone injured or unavailable). Sox need to claim some bullpen arms and give these guys some rest before they get injured Through 7th inning tonight: 45 Games - Graveman 45 Games - Santos 41 Games - Bummer
  14. They need to DFA him August 2nd if nobody claims him or offers a minimal deal for him. Zavala looking bad this week, likely wearing down with the increase in work.
  15. They need to fire their AD ASAP, and anyone involved in his hiring through the President and Board of Regents. Northwestern may be the one organization more incompetent than the White Sox. https://awfulannouncing.com/ncaa/northwestern-ad-derrick-gragg-book-women-distraction-sex-kittens.html
  16. I rather play Remillard regularly than Sheets. He needs a new team to play for. And Yoan comes through! Keep the line moving Yasmani!
  17. Anderson, Benintendi, Burger, Jimenez, Moncada and Vaughn can all have good seasons next year. Ditto Bummer, Cease, Graveman, Hendriks, Middleton and Santos. Problem is they have little depth, need crazy lottery type years out of several of their other players to make a difference: Banks, Colas, Crochet, Gonzalez, Lambert, Perez, Remillard, Scholtens and Sosa. There aren't many good FA options for the positions in need, even if Jerry was willing to open the pocketbook, and they will likely significantly lower payroll the next two seasons as contracts drop off.
  18. DJ says Colas continuously overthrows his first cutoff man, team needs to work on it.
  19. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/m/moncayo01.shtml Similar Batters through 27 Howard Johnson (952.7) Mike Moustakas (946.7) Sal Bando (944.6) Tim Wallach (942.7) Kyle Seager (942.0) Ryan McMahon (941.3) Wilmer Flores (940.1) Doug Rader (938.8) Grady Hatton (938.4) Edwin Encarnación (937.1)
  20. Lynn's made me puke, Vaughn's LMAO White Sox Bizzarro World - Current Team replaced by Baseball Reference Similarity Scores Lineup Johnny Lindell (BenintendI) Jorge Polanco (Anderson) Miguel Andujar (Robert Jr.) Mark Quinn (Jimenez) Yangervis Solarte (Moncada) Todd Hundley (Grandal) Bench Josh Naylor (Vaughn) Royce Clayton (Andrus) Dwight Smith Jr. (Sheets) Rotation Jack Flaherty (Cease) Jack McDowell (Lynn) Keegan Thompson (Kopech) Luis Severino (Clevinger) Justin Lehr (Toussaint) Bullpen Mel Rojas (Hendriks) Tim Stauffer (Graveman) Yusmeiro Petit (Kelly) J. B. Wendelken (Middleton) Scott Alexander (Bummer) Not enough MLB playing time at this stage of career to produce a similarity score: Banks, Burger, Colas, Crochet, Lambert, Padilla, Peralta, Remillard, Santos, Scholtens, Zavala.
