  1. McClanahan is out of the game. We have a chance to come back. Hope that Toby does not punt another game. Hope to see Graveman and Hendriks in this game sooner rather than later.
  2. On top of that TLR brings the lefty Sousa to face 2 right handed hitters, one of which is hitting .500 vs lefties, per Rays announcer. We dodged a big bullet. The TLR script is a continuous comedy of errors.
  3. The infield defense today of Moncada, Leury and Mendick has been brutal.
  4. The proof is in the pudding. Moncada hitting close to .100 hitting ahead of our best home run hitter is nuts. Maybe Abreu solo shot could have been a 2 run homer instead.
  5. Maybe he should move to Hollywood to star in zombie movies.
  6. I hope you are right. Maybe TLR sees the light, that he has been an embarrassment, and his performance is hurting his HOF legacy, and resign. Girardi got fired today by the Phillies for similar issues.
  7. Credit where credit is due. Martin has pitched great from the second inning on.
  8. Will go down in baseball lore as the Moncada line.
  9. It’s hard to have big crooked number when you don’t walk, and hit many ground balls, and not hit homers.
  10. Our guys just won’t take a walk, and are not very selective. Don’t we have coaches to suggest different approaches when things are not working.? Sox do not adjust. It is the same crap every day over and over.
  11. With the Sox the first thing that comes to mind is a double play ball or a strike out. Never a walk and very few sacrifice flys.
  12. You are probably right, but Sox Talk is also venting out therapy for many suffering Sox fans.
  13. Moncada hitting third is another TLR inexplicable decision. Yoan promptly struck out taking 3 strikes in a row. Maybe it is time to let someone else do the lineup.
  14. Phillies just fired Girardi for many of the same reasons that we also have here with TLR. We could probably have had Cora or Hinch as managers, albeit a little tainted, but we would have had a much better record today than with TLR.
  15. And Steve would be closer to Arizona.
  16. Surprising. Thought for sure, it would have been the 8 th
  17. Joe Girardi has been fired by the Phillies as manager. Watching the Dombrowski press conference now. He said they need a different voice and a different energy in the clubhouse, in order to salvage the season.. the Phillies have been underperforming, defense has not been good, questioned lineups, lackasaidal. This sounds very similar to the White Sox, these guys are pulling the trigger, but does JR has the testicular fortitude to do the same? The Phillies are 22-29.
  18. Not playing players that are not producing and hitting way below the Mendoza line on the top third of the lineup, to begin with.
  19. TLR always plays matchups no matter how crappy the player is. McGuire is hitting lefty against Menoah.
  20. Sousa pitching to Vlad Jr in the 8th tonight reminded me of Keuchel pitching to Story a few days back. Both had the predictable and feared outcome of two homers with men on. We need better decisions of not letting dangerous hitters beat us, by having the right pitchers facing them in game situations.
  21. We have too many lazy overpaid players. Aren’t all their salaries guaranteed while on the team?
  22. Any available righty would have been a better choice.
  23. Can’t TLR be sent to the Bears? Don’t they need at least a punting coach?
