  1. Fair enough. We don’t want to believe that. But again, not doing the background homework, or making a poor judgment is bad enough.
  2. What has KW done to deserve that allegation
  3. How does the Cueto decision look now?
  4. I wonder how front offices caught wind of this while he was so undervalued on the market. And how much the Sox had to know about that as well. Either scenario is damning if they were ignorant, or if they weren’t ignorant.
  5. The White Sox will certainly suss it out. We are free to speculate in the meantime
  6. Statistically, most allegations of this type are true however. Sure, you want to hang onto the outliers, you’re welcome.
  7. There is an added layer of protection for athletes’s contracts. No doubt. And Im not sure what the burden of “proof” on moral clauses is there. But Clevinger can be dumped from the roster without that much interference.
  8. Due process pertains to trial in court. My employer can easily and rightfully retain the right to dump me based on what we are seeing so far on Clevinger. You want an athlete to have special advantages. Which they do. But don’t confuse court with real life outside of a courtroom
  9. Interestingly, some were advocating acquiring Bauer. Wonder if they want both.
  10. I agree, that part is sort of a non story, but can be rather telling that nobody comes to his mind as a leader. May or may not mean there aren’t leader candidates. You’d rather someone was obvious to him however on a veteran team
  11. It would be a non story if it wasn’t the new manager suggesting Eloy get work in right field. Since he did, its a story.
  12. Well it would be a sudden reversal if they were not playing DHs out there, that’s for sure. And before the answer is that we have a new coaching staff in place, it was the new manager that suggested Eloy.
  13. I have already penciled in the Colas/Eloy platoon.
  14. The logic behind this thread spawned Madrigal trade talk. Don’t worry about it. The same logic was behind Madrigal trade talk here. That was fun as well.
  15. Is there a ‘per 9 innings, 162 games’ stat like the NBA’s ‘per 36 mpg’ stat? We need them to all have stats reflecting the former.
  16. The prob Problem is the Sox aren't trying. I have a suspicion, just a suspicion, that if they believed the team could really win big, they might actually try harder. Their approach may be a tell on what their opinion of the team really is. This is possibly the transition year until they clear the decks a little and reload after with whatever next wave they can come up with.
  17. Which is why we worry about 2B and RF. I disagree they would not help. The big guys could make it not matter at all, true. But there are various shades of grey and context here.
  18. I’ve never seen him in a gym shirt and shorts before ti compare. Need more information. He still looks pretty strong upstairs.
  19. It looked like it didn’t move a lot, or break down.
  20. In search of missing velocity?
  21. Nobody pushed any politics other than yourself. There’s no denying that. Liam is a person that helps people.
  22. I love you too. ? gosh, no harm intended. Carry on
  23. Well now he has time to get a new elbow ligament. Unless he likes the old tattered one
